Absolutely love the Squeak. Had mine for a few years now and I think it's one of the best EDC blades there is. Small, lightweight, ergonomic, non-threatening....really don't see any faults with this blade. I've been wantin Spyderco to come out with a Ti version for quite a while. Just hope I can manage to afford one when it comes out!

I'm thinking about preordering one just in case haha. I find myself carrying my DF2s since I love SB and really love ZDP-189, but when I get home I always open and close the Squeak :p the Ti/Elmax Sprint will be my first experience with Elmax. Maybe it'll take over my love for ZDP-189. I ordered a pink Squeak and some grooved cuscadi blue g-10 scales :)

Figured leaving one side original and the other side wood. Think it'll look nice as a contrast and still provide some grip where needed :)

I'll be sanding it down to the desired ergonomics and put a couple layers of lacquer om top in the morning.

I'll be sure to make some pictures as soon as the lacquer is hard enough to fit the scale! :D
Ok, scale is finished and fits good.
First layer of lacquer has been applied and second one will follow in 30-40 minutes.
After 3 layers I'll be done, maybe 4 at max.
I'll be sure to post some pictures! :D

The Squeak just got a little more classy :D
Finished the last layer of lacquer an hour or so ago.

Dark and gloomy outside and the sun has set for some time now.
But, it looks right at home with some of his fellow Spydies :D

Okay, I'll bite, DutchBlades...

Is that a spider that just happened to wander onto your SS Endura, or decoration?

That would be very convenient :D
But it's a little spider I made a while back for the Calander Contest.

It was a photo set in a forest, so a spider seemed like a nice touch.
Figured none of the regular fake spiders looked real enough, so I made one :p
This was the photo by the way:

Thanks :)
Maybe you'll see this text on the mods thread before you see it here... But it explains the process. Very easy to do!

I printed out the logo on regular paper, but used a laserjet. Those printers use toner instead of ink, and toner can be transferred by using acetone.
So I basically made the handle, printed out the logo, put it printed side towards the wood, applied acetone and rubbed on the paper like you used to do with those fake tattoos :p Sanded it very lightly for a worn effect and applied three layers of lacquer so it's won't rub off ;)

The only tools I had to use was a pencil, an old paint stirring stick, a file, sandpaper, almost two hours of spare time and some furniture lacquer. Give it a shot! :D

I love the idea of the Squeak. However, this is one of two Spyderco knives, out of the many I possess, that I am not 100% happy with. The action is mushy and it does not click into place in a satisfying manner. Also, the back spring is a bit weak. The rest of the knife is great. My Pingo, for example, makes me smile when I open and close it. My black Squeak feels like I am lifting the blade through marshmallows. I tried adjusting the pivot, but this made matters worse. However, though I know other people have issues with the back spring, mine is the only one I have handled that is so mushy feeling. I want to look at the Ti model and I might buy one if it does not have these issues.

I love the squeak I actually got it for my wife in pink at first, but after I handled it for a couple of days it was just a matter of time until I got mine. Sure did a couple of weeks later. Its an awesome little knife with great ergonomics I like it and I do carry it once in a while as my main EDC knife. But there are so many great knives and so little time. I am becoming more and more selective in what I purchase now, I recognize a good knife when I handle one and the squeak is one of them.

My girlfriend loves hers! But I found it a little bit small for my liking. The dragonfly better suits my hand I find. I may still get the Ti squeak when it drops just for fun though :o
