Re: Your Spyderco Christmas Eve And Christmas Day EDC
Well, I'm traveling, so don't have nearly the usual arsenal to choose from. So for the next few days, it's:
Super Blue Dragonfly
Caly 3 ZDP
I had a nice discussion today with my dad about why I brought the knives I did. He doesn't get "knives", but it was nice to explain why I choose the ones I brought. Trying to explain how the Caly 3 ZDP is a nice knife was kinda difficult as the concept of a gentleman's knife vs hard use is very foreign. He has definitely enjoyed the DF2 during the gift opening sessions. Nonetheless, it was good to discuss a significant hobby of mine.

Re: Your Spyderco Christmas Eve And Christmas Day EDC
Cruwear Military yesterday at work.
Today, my Christmas present to myself. I'm gonna baby this one until the mainstream version comes out and I'll use that one more liberally, so I may pack something else today for dirty jobs should they arise. Though if you look closely, I've already gotten a dog hair on it.
Thank you again GS, glad we could keep this one in the family! I hope you're enjoying your Lil Lion! Merry Christmas!

I can't wait until the rest of us see it in 2015. Will be a definite buy for me.

For me, I will add one of these to my new Delica today.

I'm glad to see it got there in time for Christmas! Enjoy. :)PayneTrain wrote:Cruwear Military yesterday at work.

I used a Forum Native 5 for opening presents this morning. The checkered green G10 seemed very "Christmasy."

I changed up my carry for today after doing some sharpening last night. Kept my military but changed the dfly for my super blue delica.

I'm carrying my black FRN D'Fly 2, as I'm traveling and only pack a knife I'm willing to have stolen out of my luggage. It cut lots of wrapping paper the last few days (wrapping gifts) and cut lots of small zip ties (helping nephews free their gifts from boxes).

Merry Christmas everyone! My go-to for helping unwrap the kids presents this morning was my desert ironwood Dice. After we got rolling, it's been my forum Native 5. Like GS mentioned above, it's the obvious Xmas EDC choice! Here's a pic with my knife-wielding nutcracker and some Spyderco kitchen knife boxes. Holiday cheers, Radioactive :)

That's awesome man. I love ice fishing, it's been a year or so since I've been. Hoping once it gets colder to head out again. How did the Cruwear hold up?

Also went with the Forum Native. Green, classy, and not too intimidating. Merry Christmas, all.

Re: Your Spyderco Christmas Eve And Christmas Day EDC
Great. I have brought it fishing quite a bit. I like to bring a military ice fishing because it is easy to use with gloves on. I also brought my Swick4 with me. I mostly use my knife for cutting bait and trimming line and clean my fish at home with a fillet knife so for my fairly simple needs while fishing it works great. I ice fish obsessively all winter long. :) My wife and I usually go on Christmas morning, it is kind of a tradition. I wasn't sure if we were gonna go this year because she is due to give us our first child in less than two weeks but she wanted to go anyway. :eek:Liquid Cobra wrote:That's awesome man.
