Did the Chinook 1 ever come with a chrome clip or were they all black?

Both variants are possible, my Chinook I has a silver clip.
It's from the first production run.

Hey Marcus :) Is that Chinook I model of yours one of the 440V originals or is it one of the very few that they made with S30V? Because I've heard that the S30V Chinook 1 models are one of the most rare from that era. Also does anybody know if they ever used anything other than 440V or S30V for the entire Chinook line from I to III?

Beautiful pic by the way. JD :spyder: O

Hey Joe,
no it's the regular variant with 440V. The first production run was numbered way back then in 2000/01.
The S30V-variant seems to be extremely rare, I've seen it only pop but once here in europe in the last five years.
Another pic with the T-Mag...

That polished spine looks very nice. It's the little details like this i really enjoy. Wish we could get a sprint of the original.

It is odd to see the polished spine. My 440V Chinook 1 (#383) has a square spine.

Maybe it was done after the factory. Either way it looks very nice.
