I find the K2 a bit awkward in hand, until you go to use it. No hot spots and very secure in hand. Noticeable but in a good way, you don't worry about losing your grip. It rides unnoticeably in pocket, I keep thinking I've lost it! ...

I'm thinking you might be looking for us to talk you into spending the extra $$ on the K-2, no? You know you'll end up buying one eventually so you might as well get one while they're still easy to find. : )

**** - that's a LOT of cutting! I'm thinking if the knife had any usability issues, you'd be very well acquainted with them at this point. :)

After all that use, and as you have both the K2 and the Military... which one do YOU like better? for carry and for ergos?

Military...I own both models...Millie carries a lot better...Grab ya some Cuscadi custom handles & backspacer kit or Ti standoffs to suit your tastes and you'll have the best large EDC EVER!!!

They feel about the same to me carry wise etc. :)

The K2 blade is thinner so it cuts better.

I can second that the addition of some Cuscadi aftermarket scales are the way to go! Here's some OD green linen Micarta on my Cruwear Millie, complete with matching backspacer on my Techno:




While I like the Manix 2 XL, the Millie is in a class by itself! Here's some adorned in Ti:

This was a great thread for choosing which larger, solid folder to go with. I ended up deciding on the Military from the big ones.

This evening I started a separate thread - "Military of PM2 - if you could get just one for general EDC?" Please chime in there with any general feedback.

BUT - here's a question specifically for the folks on this thread who love their Military and encouraged going that route...

Would you trade your Military for a PM2? Which of the two would YOU keep if you could keep just one?

BB Lock, more defined ergos, better choil, and all that jimping...i'm all about the Manix 2 XL! Mine is on order and while I agree the millie is a solid knife, the Manix 2 XL is a flat out beast!

I'd still go PM2 even after putting the K2 in there. I'm a huge fan of deep carry clips and that's an option with the PM2. There are some amazing deep carry TI clip options.
