Carry this when small game hunting. Single six and para2.

Why do you people think I'm against handgun carry? I simply gave my opinion about this, thinking it was clear that the higher criminality/danger in some big city of the states was the reason behind this. I didn't imply it's the fault of the society or how it's built, it's simply something that is present in the state and I would avoid living there for this particular reality. I seriously have nothing against handgun carry unless you're a jerk, a mentally impaired person or a psycopath.

Now, please get back to picture posting, I didn't meant to troll in and get you all flaming at me for having my own opinion ;)

It is not having an opinion that anyone was upset about, it was sharing it when you didn't need to. You and everyone else has the right to their opinion. Your initial comment could be considered insulting and as such I would never make a comment saying something similar. All people have a sense of pride in the place they call home and the tone of this it could be inferred as a derogatory statement implying that where your from is better. We often say on here, "not better, just different" and this applies here. I would personally just avoid comments like that myself. I am sure many of us on here could come up with reasons not to move to Canada but we don't so willingly share them in a thread totally outside of the intent of the original post. I lived 1 hr from Montreal in upstate NY near Cornwall, Ontario in a very rural dairy community for many years and both Montreal and Cornwall have their ups and downs but I am not going to comment on any of that because all places have their ups and downs. I have actually spent a lot of time in Canada and really like some things about it but couldn't live there. Both Montreal and Ottawa are nice places to visit for different reasons and I have always enjoyed going there. Out of respect for you and all of the other Canadians on here I will keep all of my other opinions to myself as every Canadian I have met has been kind and respectful to me.

People in the states are also very divided and very passionate about the gun debate and as such many people who enjoy their right to carry and own guns often feel under attack and as a result often get very defensive. Basically, it is a touchy subject over here, especially these days, and in general it can be hard to make any comments without eliciting some sort of fevered response. Just part of our culture I guess.

I am not trying to flame on you just wanted to clear the air so we can move on. I personally am ready to move on and wasn't going to post this at all but really do want to stop this from turning into a wild tangent. Let's keep the gun and knife pics coming.

I always carry a knife, but if I carry a gun (as I am licensed to do), I never tell. Pairings don't factor into my decision.

Guys, just re-posting for anyone that didn't see this comment above...

I started a new thread in "off topic" for the gun safety / why we choose to carry / etc. topics tangential to this conversation:

Gun safety, why do you carry, etc.

Please use that thread for gun thoughts related to the above topic, so we can all enjoy the gun/knife porn in this thread. And let's try to be kind, we all have plenty of common ground. :-)

Thanks.

Nccole, nice framing! :-) How do you like the Remora sticky holster for the CW45? Good retention all day long, stays where you put it?

And what carry position do you find the most comfortable for it?

At roughly 20oz, yours is about the same weight and very similar frame size to my Glock 19.

Dan
The Remora is nice and I would recommend it and give it a near perfect review. I have had one issue with it though. I was in the woods with it and went to the bathroom. I guess I didn't get it re-positioned like it should have been and about five minutes later after walking it slid down my leg and onto the ground as I was wearing shorts. Is it perfect? No, but if you understand its slight limitations and plan accordingly it is suitable for 95% of EDC uses. So now when I use the restroom, I only use the zipper. The key is good belt pressure on the holster. You really cannot use it without a belt. I carry it just to the right of my tail bone, and find it more comfortable than any other method I have tried yet. Another thing I really like is that I can handle the gun in the holster at all times. If I want to take the gun out and put it in the glove box or put it by the bed at night, you simply grab and pinch the holster and gun and the trigger stays hidden. Of course my finger would never be on the trigger, but when blindly grabbing a gun on your back hip, it is nice to have the trigger hidden. Also, the holstered gun wedges nicely between my center console and seat making for a quick easy grab if need be.

As far as the gun, a single stack is the way to go imo. Once I decided on a single stack, the argument between high capacity 9mm or lower capacity .45 is pretty much null, so .45 it was. It handles nicely even for longer days at the range, the centerline of the barrel sits lower and you don't get a top heavy whip like some other .45's this size (really not many this size to begin with). I like it better than an XDS personally.

xceptnl- What magazine is that, and have you had any FTF's with it? I love the totally flushness of it. I have a 7 round and had to do the whole shave some metal off the top, and it is fine for the range, but every now and then it will hang up on the second to last round. Kahr's mag that came with it is perfect, but $$ and not flush.

My Kahr mags have all run perfectly. I shoot Winchester white box FMJ, Remington Golden Saber, Speer Gold Dot, Glasser P'wer ball, Blazer Brass, Wolf, Blazer and more. The factory mags have never given me problems. I purchased the Wilson Combat (6 round) compact mag and it is even better (if possible) than the factory mags. Wait for a good deal and then buy them up. They are my favorite because they fit so flush and the spring is strong and the follower still holds open the slide on the last round. I purchased directly from WC.

Thanks, I have seen those and knew the quality would be good, but wasn't sure on compatibility with a gun it was not necessarily designed for. I think I even almost bought that one before but iirc, shipping is expensive. I hate when people have the price low and then hit you with excessive shipping charges.

I have mainly shot white box but did buy a big bag of reloads and had no issues with any of those. I figure if the variability of those was handled, I should be fine with anything. I put a few mags worth of the hollow points I carry it with and had no issues, so that is all I need to know.

But of course, this is just a fun hance to see combos. I don't actively select pairs to carry together.

If I "owned" a handgun.... Glock 26 w/ factory+2 and ameriglo ghost ring sights and Emerson Delica weak side. But I don't have one.

Nice lever gun. I have had a 357 lever gun on the radar for a while now. I have shot more deer with a 94 30-30 than any other gun. Love them things.
