Interesting factoid: 2 of these are available on eBay right now for $180 each... Cheers, Radioactive :)

I added one to my cart. I don't know if I will buy it, but I'm thinking that I probably will.

And both of them gone. Too bad that I didn't get one...but then again, I didn't really need a duplicate.

Interesting knife. I'll have more comments, pics, and hopefully a video coming over the next few days. Thanks again, GS.

I don't really miss it, but this way, I won't feel too bad if I occasionally EDC this one. (I'll know that I have a NIB one sitting on the shelf. :D)

BTW, gbelleh, I will email you the next address. 4 days would be up tomorrow, Monday, but if you need a little extra time for a review, it's fine to ship it on Tuesday.

Shipping it out on Tuesday would be good. Unfortunately I got the knife during an insanely busy week. But I'll try to get my pics and video done on Monday.

Ok, here are some pics and impressions of the Foundry.

I find the handle very comfortable in hand, and it opens very smoothly and easily. I didn't cut anything with it, or carry it. But I suspect it would carry pretty nicely. It's a bit heavy with its steel frame, but it's very thin, and not too wide when closed either.

The lock up is strong and the blade seems very sturdy. The upswept tip is similar to the Persian, and should work well for most EDC tasks.

This knife has some interesting styling details, including the Comedy Central like design on the handle, and the scallop cutouts on the lockbar, which look very nice in person.

Some pictures from various angles...

Overall, I like it. It's a nice, ergonomic design, well built with quality materials. I believe it would make a fine EDC.

And here are a couple slightly more "Kansasy" pics...

I made a quick review video this morning, but it'll be a few days before I can edit and upload it. I'll post it here when it's finished.

Thanks again to GS for this great pass around. I was glad to get the chance to check this one out!

The Spyder has landed, safe and sound. Thanks gbelleh! I just got home and it's too dark for photography beyond a quick phone pic.

But I just had to hold it real quick and wow, I love this thing already. It's bigger than I expected, and looks much more impressive in person. I think your video review is a good idea. I think it will better convey what this knife is really like in hand than still photos, not that I'm not going to try anyway.

This is an awesome project. GS, your generosity is admirable and this kind of thing really just shows what kind of a community this is.

I collectively pat us all on the back. :)
