5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
Slysz Bowie. Carries discretely, handles well, good steel, great grind and not too big.
Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
I would have a hard time choosing between the Mantra 1 and HAP40 Dragonfly.

S110v Manix 2 LW
Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
My 204P PM2.
For me, this Spydie balances best the features and properties I prize in a knife.
That's not to say this Spydie is my favorite. Though I do love it, I also love some others.
Wait! My palms are sweating. Let's have five Spydies over just one year.

PM2, probably. It's actually only my third most-carried Spyderco, seeing less overall pocket time than either my Caly 3.5 or my HAP40 dragonfly, but is easily the most versatile knife I own, so if I only get just one . . .

I can't choose. My HAP 40 Endura or my Cruwear Millie. I'd find a way to have both.

Similar here.SpyderEdgeForever wrote:1 Does it have to be a presently available model? If no, if it can be any Spyderco, I would pick either a Caspian Salt pointed or a D`Allara combo edge.
If currently available, a Pacific Salt serrated edge.
If it has to be a folder, then Pacific Salt
But if it can be any Spydie I'd also pick up a fixed blade, the Aqua Salt

No, I'll snap one and get it posted quick as I can.Jazz wrote:I like your style, bro. Do you have a pic?benben wrote:Wegner Jr.
I'd say Delica 4 FFG wharncliffe to cover all bases, including work, play, and SD. I'd prefer a regular Delica 4 for EDC, but if I had to choose 1, then wharnie.

My m4/Ti Millie. It's been my edc since 2010.

2013 Forum native5, but probably any Native5 will do the trick. But why would I do something like this???????
Should I limit myself to only one pair of shoes? Pants? Socks?

Delica 4.
If I had to try and get through the 5 years with very little sharpening. A serrated one.

I too would make it a C-36 Military model. Especially one of the Sprint Runs like "MacLaren" suggested. Several blade steels that they used in those Sprint Runs would make a super good EDC for 5 years of usage IMO.MacLaren wrote:Military in CTS-204P.
You have advantages with blade length, the model is easy to work on yourself, easy to get parts for if needed and I just don't believe you can go wrong with a G-10 handle.

ID take my Slysz Bowie

Haha! I couldn't!! Too many great choices! My favorite is the one I have in my hand at any given moment. They're like Lay's Potato Chips..."Betcha can't have just one!"bh49 wrote:But why would I do something like this???????
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I hate these kind of choices. It's like finding yourself as the only guy in the room at the Victoria's Secret after party and you can only pick one of the models to dance with. I'm a knife enthusiast so I'm always going to buy something I like, I can't help myself. But if I really had to choose just one then I'd go for the s110v Pm2 :)

I carried my SB Caly 3.5 for the better part of 5 years.
Moving forward, I think it would be SE Endura.

This exact config of Delica was my very first Spydie as well, since given to a very good friend. Anyway, my choice, given what I really need knives for, would be my 204P PM2. Ideal combo of size, easy carry, flickability, color, and super steel.tvenuto wrote:
Also...Delica 4. If I had to choose a flavor, my first ever spyderco: Grey FFG PE VG-10.

Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
I would go for something that would have more blade than I would necessarily need. If I could only have one knife, I would choose the blue g10 cpm s110v military
