1 Does it have to be a presently available model? If no, if it can be any Spyderco, I would pick either a Caspian Salt pointed or a D`Allara combo edge.
If currently available, a Pacific Salt serrated edge.

First thought was Delica, but I think I'd go with PM2 S110V instead. Good corrosion resistance, lasting edge, tough build, solid lock, easy to maintain... I find that, while I prefer carrying something smaller in urban settings (manbug, delica, etc.), I don't depend on such blades as much as I do on the larger ones.
Put another way, a large blade can do what a smaller one does, but the opposite isn't always true.

The problem of a coherent civilization is the problem of living with ignorance and not being frustrated by it.

Pacific Salt SE if I am still in SE Alaska, or a similar rainy / marine environment.
Military or Manix XL anywhere else.

Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
Well my first thought was Military because it's my go-to do it all knife, but then if it's the ONLY knife I have to carry, there are a lot of places I go these days (work) where I can't carry a knife that big because of county/city blade length laws. That might mean I can't even carry that one knife. So, I'd probably have to choose my custom Manix 2 or a Yojimbo 2.
All SE all the time since 2017

As long as I can have kitchen knives, etc, then I'd have to go with the KW PM2 204P.
If I couldn't have a kitchen knife, I'd go with the Military version since it could work as a kitchen knife in a pinch, but for EDC it's a bit too big for my tastes.

It would have to be fully legal for me to carry - so the S110v drop-point UKPK, unless there's also a wharnie version by then ...

Endura 3 SpyderEdge for what I currently own. Want a Pacific Salt SE Black.

Delica 4 (although the new Mantra seems to be a good substitute)

Well, you didn't say it always had to have the same blade, so I'd cheat a bit. A Stretch would be the obvious choice for me, but I do have to visit Greenville occasionally and choose to respect their 3" blade limit. So, so I'd get the blade from a spare VG-10/FRN Stretch of mine cut down to 3" and swap it back and forth with the blade on this customized one as needed.

Re: 5 years 1 knife, what would you choose?
I had to chose one knife to go five years I'd probably take the Civilian.
Over the last few years it's one of the few knives I still carry regularly, for some reason that thing has staying power like few other knives ever did.
