Thank you all for the replies! Idk if you all realized I've become a regular since January and this is why. You are all such nice people and are very informative.

Big thanks again!

For $400, you can't do much better than a Slysz Bowie and a Native 5 in S35VN.

A found $400 would lead me right to a Slysz Bowie (the recent two M4 PM2 exclusives simply got in its way), and the balance would go to a Sage5.

Hmm that's a tough one. There's no current spydies I'm absolutely pining for, so I'd probably think back to ones I missed.

Even if the $400 was some kind of windfall I'd still have trouble paying the going rate for an original R, which seems to be over $300. But the original R is one I've been watching out for ever since I got the Nishijin sprint.

Another one is the 9/11 D'allara. I have a drop point user but it would be cool to have the commemorative version.

I'd like to say I'd save for the Magnitude, or Chinook, but I'm sure I'd pull the trigger on something now and then figure out how to pay for those later!

Edit: Just thought of this. I've always thought of getting the bolsters on my Kris engraved, and that could be another fine use of $400. Something like this, except with a playing card king/queen theme:

Probably a Slysz Bowie. $150 or so has always been my mental limit on what I could get comfortable spending on a knife. But if it was found money, and I HAD to spend it, because THE FORUM THREAD MADE ME DO IT . . . well, different story.

Other wishlist items:
- CTS-204P or M390 PM2 sprint (just not crazy about S30V but curious to see how much of a difference I'd notice)
- Southard Black (just love the look, despite the mixed reviews)
- HAP40 Stretch (this will almost certainly happen sooner or later with real money, tbh--my favorite EDC steel so far, I think)

I'd probably buy either a 204P or S110V Military and something else, maybe an Ouroboros or Mantra 2.

I would buy a Jumpmaster 2, and whatever was left probably would get another Endura and Delica or two. You can never have enough Enduras and Delicas :)

I have a lot of models already, what my budget allows, but with more cash I would like to try a Starmate, 52100 Military, and maybe the Bradley bowie

I'd start searching for a 204P, M390 or Elmax PM2, failing that, I'd swallow my pride and order a Cruwear Manix 2 from BBS. any remaining balance would go towards a G10 Worker sprint or Centofante 3.

It does not matter if it were hard earned or free money, I would like to say the Slysz but there is nothing about that knife that should make it $300 to me. If it were $200 then for sure I would get that and throw in a s110v Military.

I answered this question for real a couple weeks ago.

I had the money for a Nirvana, but decided to buy a Fluted Ti Military instead and treat the girlfriend to a great Labor Day with the extra cash.

It can't ALL be about knives.
