Dear Sal, can you give an outlook of the timeline? Can it be introduced in 2016 still?

Man, that is a bummer, especially after picking up the K2 and realizing how awesome this piece is, maybe I need to pick up another to make myself feel better :D

I am really sad. The list of further must-have spydies is very short. Now there's one less. :(. The full size K2 is simply too big, despite the huge recent price drop. I am really sad...

I'm sure it's for a good reason, wasn't Farid redesigning the mini K2 for Spyderco?

I just remember Farid announcing the mini version of his custom K2 about a year ago on Bladeforums. Didn't know anything about a Spyderco version. I'd be interested if there wasn't such an abrupt upsweep towards the tip.

I've considered picking up a full-size version and taking a grinder to it and see what kind of mini-K2 i can come up with on my own.

If it came like this from the factory I would have grabbed one despite all its other flaws.

Thanks!
I love it. With the flat spine it's like an extra large Military.

I don't get why you don't like the upsweep tip. It's what makes the K2 special.

Just needs to be shorter.

Still hope there's going to be a Lil K2 sometime....

For my use, working with the upswept tip was a little awkward. I am not a big fan of trailing point knives in general for this reason. Still, I wouldn't have done this unless I had an unmolested spare (which I do).

BREAKING NEWS!
Quote from Man himself Farid Mehr:
"the ball is in their court and I would be happy to see the 3.5" version go in to production"
And from myself, Mini K2 should be 3,9 as it is. What a fantastic blade! Just imagine 3,9 CPM 10V!

I have no idea what the business or personal/professional relationship is between the two guys but
on the surface this should be a done deal! Just fix the freaking lock stick!
