Thanks for the heads up, I've been wanting one for a long time. It's been another expensive Spyderco week, though.Bdubs808 wrote:A little exploring on Cutlery shoppe and I found that they have the Manix 2 Cruwear are $161... only 3 left.

Not that I can recall, but I like the sound of that. :DBdubs808 wrote:And while I'm at it...

Idk if Jeff buys collections, or holds things back, or what, but, I scored one of these Manix, and a few years back (2 years ago?), I scored a nib Pacific blue Kopa, and a year before that, a nib cf/s90v Manix from him, in the same type of circumstances...
Re: Cru-Wear Military at CS
Wow, thanks for the heads-up! I was able to scratch the Superleaf off of my wish list!!
Re: Cru-Wear Military at CS
I scored one on the big auction site about a month back but I am tempted to buy another. Apart from the detent it is darn near perfect.

I have a Superleaf on the way from CS... What don't you like about your Superleaf's detent? Too weak?osprey wrote:I scored one on the big auction site about a month back but I am tempted to buy another. Apart from the detent it is darn near perfect.

Re: Cru-Wear Military at CS
Aside from the choil eating a lot of edge it is a Strider of a Spyderco
Re: Cru-Wear Military at CS
While I've carried it somewhat regularly and haven't had an issue, the detent does feel a bit weak and I could see it opening in a pocket if not clipped against the very edge (with the seam holding the blade in place). I love the ergonomics and look and blade shape, so I consider it one of my favorites.Spydergirl88 wrote:I have a Superleaf on the way from CS... What don't you like about your Superleaf's detent? I received my SLeaf from Cutlery Shoppe today and I must say, it's quite excellent. I'm just a little worried about how the lock doesn't travel over to the right as much as i'd like. Could that correct itself in time?

I'm glad I could help out a fellow addict, enjoy your new Superleaf. :DSirens1 wrote:I received my SLeaf from Cutlery Shoppe today and I must say, it's quite excellent.

Re: Cru-Wear Military at CS
About how far does the liner engage the tang on your Superleaf? I am just curious as I have a few knives that only engage at 25%, but still lock up tightly.Spydergirl88 wrote:Mine doesn't either... PM2 on left has the level of engagement I prefer. Both have solid lockup. My Salsa had what I would consider late lockup and it was more like 75%...Don't have a pic though.
