Just a little muse

#1

Post by Rudenut »

I was fondling my new Mule Team 21 and was thinking about improving it for some tasks. I came up with this. As an alternative a flat ground or saber ground woodcraft mule would be nice too, sans a guard.

Second one is better, I just moved the blade and plunge down.

Add some jimping on the spine and it's perfect for a large paring knife or light quick knife. I suppose I could just grind off the guard to get a similar effect. I do like the blade starting below my fingers a little more on this one though.

Oh, and Hi! I didn't realize this was my first post here. I have been lurking so long I guess I never posted.

Welcome to the forum! I'm actually grinding the bottom guard off one of my Mules to make it a better kitchen knife. Hopefully I don't screw it up too bad!
