I love my Techno for my weekend job (main job is in an office). The techno is great because it has a bit of cool factor but is also really useful. It easily opens and closes and can be put away on it's wire clip, it has enough blade thickness to be durable but the grind is fairly lean so it slices extremely well. The blade steel is an excellent EDC steel, too, as it sharpens up really well, holds a respectable edge, and is very corrosion resistant.

It's nice to see that there are people that actually use their knife, instead of just flicking it opened/closed.

Define work. At the office, a Manix serves me well. If I'm working in the yard or doing vehicle maintenance, I'm more likely to be carrying an Endura, but I'm struggling to think of a cutting task in the yard or the under the hood where the Endura has an advantage over the Manix. Maybe it's just because there is no one around to look at me funny for whipping out the longer blade. :D

Smurf PM2 for work (remodeling), very occasionally my ZDP Stretch. It's a first run M390 preordered far in advance, and does everything I need.

For cutting lots of cardboard, opening boxes, cutting banding, etc., this knife is too notch. It was modded by forum member araneae.

That's a great selection for a "hard use" knife "JA" ;) There is something to be said for the SE Endura and SE POLICE both  Those two models are truly stalwarts in the "hard use" category. I had an SE ENDURA about 9 years ago and when I traded it I had put a lot of working hours on it. I myself tend to like the G-10 handled POLICE model just a bit better but only from the standpoint that I tend to like G-10 handles. VG-10 makes a great Spyderedged blade and it's truly a cutting beast.

There's a reason the Endura and Police models have both become icons of the Spyderco main line up>> that's because they are just flat out great work knives.

depends on the kind of work:

kitchen, camping: resilience
edc, crafts, opening packages/boxes, paring, horticulture: delica4 (pe)
fishing, snorkeling/diving, light SD carry: pac salt (pe)
when in doubt: stretch (pe)

For office days I like these:

Native has been no. 1 since I got it, but the Chap has been used/carried the most by far.

SB Delica is great when I'm working outside and ZDP DF2 when I'm in the office

PM2 in my pocket and a Gerber multiplier on my belt.

When I'm out working in the yard I also like to have a Byrd Hawkbill.

Recycling this pic from the calendar contest.

Gotta say, I've been pretty harsh on Cruwear #1, as well as my constant gardening/bush whacking companion MommaTwo! Love that curve and those serrations.....both are exceeding my expectation.

Serrated Pacific Salt, hands down! Of course most of my "work" is around saltwater and corrosive environments. ;)

A serrated Native finds its way into my pockets most mornings when I'm heading out the door. I never thought I would primarily carry a Spyderedged knife, but it looks like I'm hooked.

I use my two Endura models the most. E4 CE, and E3 CE BK. Never get lubed, get used hard, and just keep going. They rock.
