I am impressed by your great collection and happy that you have them. Obviously you understand the addiction quite well.rodloos wrote:LOL I'm in no position to judge, got to be getting close to 300 Spydies now. Since KSF put these Chaps on close out sale at this great price I have bought 4 of them. Yes 4........and I love 'em all.
I mean at that price, why not??!!
Live life on the ragged edge...... :D
Hard to pass up a bargain on a pretty Spyderco!
I think it is all in the way one looks at the purchase of a new Spyderco. It is best not to think of it as money spent, but rather as money saved. Take my own sad case with the purchase of 4 Chap 2s that I simply could not pass up at a KSF price of $143.17. It is not that I spent a total of $572.68, but that I saved $727.12 off MSRP. (Now of course very few of us pay MSRP for our Spydies, but that's beside the point). Besides a great savings I have the fun of 4 new knives, plus a pretty fair investment in the possibility that the Chap 2 is discontinued and prices then rise.
But most of all, I just like the Chap 2 a lot, and I guess that is reason enough after all. :D
I know you understand this...........
