Where's the new Catalog?

#1

Post by Doc Dan »

I know it is pending. I am just impatient, I guess. I wonder how soon the new catalog will be here?

Got anything new and special you are hoping to see in the catalog for 2016? :)

The new catalog is always a bit of a treat. However, because Spyderco is so transparent with us ELUs about what is coming, it's not as much of a "big reveal" as it is for me when Kershaw and Cold Steel (my other preferred companies) release their new catalogs each year.

I'm wondering if any of that new stuff that knife center put pre-orders on will be in the catalog.

There are a few that I don't think we have seen photos of. The mantra and snap it salts come to mind. Who knows, maybe there will be some we haven't even heard rumors about!

Is it possible for Spyderco to release a new knife in the new catalog that none of us on the forum have known about?

It could happen, although I think most of the knives being released in the upcoming catalog would have been unveiled prior to publication. However, Spyderco has unveiled new/unforeseen Sprint models in the catalogs.

I'm hoping we will be surprised with some more Salts, especially ones with blades in the 3.5-4 inch or larger category, but I don't know.

I would like something similar to the Enuff, but, with a more general-purpose blade and at least three and a half inches or larger, and made with H1, and available in serrated edge.

Does the aqua Salt not fill this need for you?

Well it can but I was considering something with more of a spear point blade that is shiny, or something that is like a fixed blade version of the Pacific Salt.

My thoughts:
Police 3?
Native 5 anniversary model is beautiful. Wow.
All the new natives are on point.
The Snapit salts are awesome.
Wolfspyder looks crazy cool. Love that spydiehole hump not sticking out.
Lil Lum in there stealing my heart.
Sprint runs page trying to take all my money
New PITS is stunning
Cooks knife looks to be a must buy
Byrd knives are much improved and looking great

Overall this catalog is beautiful and just want to say thank you to spyderco for once again hitting it out of the park. Can't wait to get my paper copy in the mail
