Dark Blue sounds good for me. Hopefully something other than VG-10.
A lot of people on here say its a great steel but I have only ever had chipped edges on VG-10 blades. I'm no expert but I have to judge from my own experience. Would love a Jester though. I recently thinned out my Spydie collection so now I'm trying to repopulate it with smaller knives.

I have had VG-10 chip as well. However, I have noted that this problem goes away once the factory edge has been sharpened a few times. Others have mentioned that the potential cause of this is weakened steel on the factory edge due to heat during the factory sharpening. I think VG-10 is great and is the mostly likely steel for this sprint.

Currently I have in use four knives with VG10 and used several others in the past. I never had VG10 chipped. But I will be perfectly fine, if Spyderco will make jesters with ZDP189 or SG2.

Haha, I suppose that is one of the good things about being on the other side of the world.

You can post at odd hours of the night and catch people before they wake up in the morning.

There were knives, which came out 3-4 years after planned released year (like Black ZDP189 Lum Chinese) and there were knives, which came from nowhere (like Caly3.5)

One of these days I expect to ask a question about a knife and you guys tell me oh yeah it was made on a Monday by Bob on the second production line. He had chicken salad for lunch and it was raining that day.

Ah man, you had me looking on KW for a good 5 minutes before I came back and read the just kidding part... I saw your "September" date stamp (didn't bother to notice the 2014), and took off looking. I'm not happy now

Hopefully soon though. I really like my lime jesters and would love a navy one!

I have two Jesters: grey on my key chain and burgundy in my desk (I cannot bring myself to carry it). If I will have an opportunity, I will buy at least 3. They will make a great gifts. I bought 4 Orange Ladybugs. I still have one and three people received their first knife.

Hopefully the run will be 1200 units. I love giving this model as a gift and will try to snag 5 or so. It sounds like just with a few of us on the forum we will buy the first 100 that ship.
