Amsterdam Meet Spyder- What steel?

#1

Post by demoncase »

A thought occurred to me today-

Those of us lucky enough to go to the Amsterdam meet got given a lovely engraved Spyder 'coin' to commemorate the event.

Just wondered if anyone knew what the actual steel was it'd been made from?
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Whatever was convenient at the right thickness at the time. Could be anything?

Very tricky, Sal. I see you eluded the great hunters for the ideal HRC of commemorative coins. ;)

 Thanks Sal.....A man after my own heart- Expediency has a quality all of it's own, I find :)

Just an idle wonder in case it was one of the tool or carbon steels and I need to make sure I don't let it go rusty ;)

More than likely it's a stainless that is being used for liners.
