After reading Sal's comments about HAP40 I decided to place a preorder for the HAP40 Endura.

I haven't owned an Endura or replaced scales before, but I decide to order some scales for this knife as well. Does anyone have feedback on if it's straightforward to replace the FRN scales? Are they held in place just by screws?

This is quite a rabbit hole to go down. Yes, the knife will be easy to disassemble, as it's only held together by screws. However, there are nested liners, so any aftermarket scales would need to have recesses to accept them. Because of that, it's somewhat less straightforward than other knives that do not have nested liners. I would say one thing: give the FRN scales a chance, you might be surprised how well they work with this design. I strongly prefer my FRN Delicas to the G10 Delica.

The scales I ordered are specifically made for the Endura 4, so hopefully they're recessed. They're a green micarta and they look really nice on the Endura 4 the producer showed them on.

I haven't purchased an FRN knife yet, but I can imagine it would be a nice material as I read it provides some grip to the knife. I'm looking forward to trying the FRN scales as well.

Yes, I would assume any scales made specifically for the FRN Endura would work.

Beligne is our distributor in France. I'm checking to see if he'll be bringing any in. It is a sprint and some distributors don'e like to mess with them.

Welcome. Not sure about that but there will be plenty of online suppliers that will get them here in the US. It'll handle exactly like every other Delica, and "in the wild" pics will show up when it gets released, so you can see the color and know how it feels in hand in advance.

I walked into the B&M today and my jaw hit tha floor...new orange D4. I could barely contain myself. Then saw VG 10 on the tang. In better news, the burnt orange will probably be less ostentatious than the current orange offering.

Thank you for your reply Sal !
It could be nice if he (Beligne) bring some in ! Do you know to which seller he's selling ? I do not want to miss that sprint run !
By the way if they got some Superblue :spyder: I could be really interested.
It seems only a company can contact them.
