Small PM2! Who's with me?

#1

Post by LetItbePM2Forever »

Hi

I love my Syderco Paramillitary 2 but sometimes i wish there was a "Small" version of the PM2 like Small and Large Seb... Well you get the idea'.

Who's with me that they wish there was a Small, aprox 2.75", bladeversion of the great and much loved PM2?

Thanks for looking! :)

Welcome to the forum!

There is a PM3 in the pipeline, slated for a 3" blade.

I was in the same boat that you are in. I got a Techno, which did the trick.

I am firmly in the there needs to be a bigger PM2 camp.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

I'd be interested in a small PM2. But what I'd really like to see is a small Manix 2.

Thanks for your reply!

@hoimin That PM3 would do the trick. Fingers crossed! :)

@HarleyXJGuy one small ,one regular (the one that is present know) and a big "PM2XL" Why Not... :)

But Yeah it would be nice with a "Small" PM2 !

Spyderco are you consider something like this?

You and I share a lot of the same thoughts lol. I really hope we'll see a PM2 XL but I'll still buy the PM3 just because it's my favorite design (so far :D).
One thing I was thinking of the other day, why not make a lightweight paramilitary 2 with FRN scales and a S110V blade, like the manix?

A small PM2 has already been announced (at SHOT I believe) and it'll be a pm3. It sounds like a for sure thing already.

I'm in for a smaller Manix 2. I think my dream knife would be a 7" linerless G-10 Manix with a tough steel. Maybe 3V, M4, PD1, or Cru-wear. Probably never happen and that type steel would be overkill for a linerless knife. I'll keep dreaming.

In another thread I said the same thing! I'd love a Dragonfly sized knife with a Manix2 lock. I fidget a lot and this would provide me with hours of entertainment without the size/weight of the Manix 2, plus I'd be able to whip it put and use it in public without raising so many eyebrows.
If you're wielding the sharpest tool in the shed, who's going to say that you aren't...?

Totally agree. Although I don't know of the CBBL would fit into something DF2 sized. I'd be willing to take something a little larger to get the lock. Although DF2 size would be ideal.

Well, apparently there is a blue handled s110v pm2 coming but I haven't heard anything about whether its going to be g10 or frn.

I'll stick with the PM2 as it is. If I want a bigger knife I have a Military and a Manix 2 XL. If I want a smaller knife, well I never want a smaller knife- the PM2 is the smallest knife that I carry.

Thanks for the info Sal. You know, we have all been speculating about that "new" knife but it just occurred to me that you never said anything about actually producing one, you just said you were carrying one. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
