Wow! What a great bunch of creative photographs of fine knives. Thank goodness I suggested a theme to help me pick one out. Thank you one and all for playing.

Mushroom gets top honors with his festive firecracker pile.

Honorable mention goes to OldSarSwmr for his salty fishing picture, a popular activity for this Fourth in spite of sharks.

Finally, I must acknowledge the somewhat disturbing image by demoncase. Leave it to an Englishman to post a picture of his balls on the Internet. Is it just me or is that PITS posed as a phallus?

Congrats Mushroom and thanks Mac. I was down in the Outer Banks between Rodanthe and Avon, the sharks definitely had better luck fishing than I did. ;)

You loved the shine I got on 'em, didn't you?

Also, it's not my fault if you chaps if you see 'phallic' imagery everywhere- like Freud (probably) said "Sometimes a knife is just a knife, meiner kinder....Now- tell me about your mother" :D

Ahh, you just had to go and "taint" my appreciation of that fine pic! ;) :D

I've been wondering the same thing recently... Can't wait!
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

In Texas, using a knife to scrape off grass burrs is a rite of summer.

I've grown to enjoy this old-school serrated Military that I originally disliked...I have been EDCing it here on our ranch in Wyoming, and it is a great backup Spydie. Here it is reflecting some early morning light on top of some lichen-covered rocks with the Absorka mountains in the background.
