Looks great, I recently acquired a set myself with a regular S30v blade. I was also very surprised myself that the weight difference is really only slightly noticeable from stock. Casey is also a great guy to deal with. Hope you enjoy them, I'm surely enjoying mine!!Brock O Lee wrote:Dressed up my unused 204p with some Casey Lynch Ti scales. I was surprised to find it weighs only slightly more than the original. It will stay unused no more...

I'm still carrying my 3.5 and PPT today. I have to ask you as I've wondered for a while. Is your user name. Simpsons reference by chance?SpeedHoles wrote:Liquid Cobra wrote:That's funny since the other knife in my pocket was a PPT as well. Lol, no, I don't remember that being used on Simpsons? Although now I'm intrigued. :D
SpeedHoles is an old hotrodding term for drilling holes or dimple die holes in any and all surfaces possible to reduce weight, and ideally with little compromise to structural integrity. A process I've more recently been applying to motorcycles and bicycles.
Was more popular before machining became mainstream, so it was done in cast parts and sheet metal parts.
Going back to Caly.
