Sal, Sprig as a blank?

#1

Post by Skidoosh »

I'm jumping the gun a bit but after putting handles on mules I really enjoy the process. The Sprig looks like a beautiful knife but I would love to put my own handles on and sheath. Any chance of it being available as a blank?

Phils designs are pretty special. Aside from his expertise in blade design and heat treating I think his handles and overall design ergonomics are a big part of the package so I would be dubious about them selling just the blank. I know the bushcraft is a similar situation but I just don't see that happening with Phil's knives.

Fwiw, I'm not at all against the idea and might would even purchase one myself.
