Thanks. Roman's praises for these knives are part of the reason I got them--I need to know what all of his fanfare is about.

Both the Lg and Sm Persians are the original, bolstered/Micarta versions. They have some light scratches on the bolsters, but some scotchbrite and Rotten Stone powder will fix them up to my liking. :)

Just got it and it's great. Funny thing, if it was my first Spydie I'd be very impressed, but seeing as how I own a couple Taichung models the fit and finish is definately that of a Japan Spydie. Nothing that warrants complaint but no where near the level of Taichung. One of the reasons I wanted this one was how thin it is. The liners and cf are the same thickness of the liners and g10 on my Lava! Only thing making it a bit wider is the blade. This one will surely be my edc for a while and work it's way into the "regular rotation" after the honeymoon period is over.
