Issues with Forum Updates

Post issues you see with the forum updates.

When I click on a link, it directs me to that page in the current window/tab instead of opening a new tab. It didn't used to do this and I prefer opening a new tab when I click on links.

Hi Brian,
I share the same preference. We are going to tweak the coding a bit and restore the behavior of opening a new tab.

Thank you!

Quick follow up... we've made the coding change, but unfortunately it isn't retroactive. It will apply to any link posted from here forward, but not to previously existing links. We're still working on it, so we may be able to tweak it further. Will post an update if we make progress.

Thanks Kristi.

I sent a PM on the 26th. It is still sitting in my Outbox.

Someone posted in another thread that they were having troubles on the 11th, but that was before the latest updates.

Both of the messages that were marked as being stuck in my Outbox are now in my sent items on the same day that I sent them.

PMs sit in your Outbox until the recipient opens them. Then they move into your Sent box. I've reached out to the other person too. This is a feature of the forum (before and after the update) that has a great purpose. It allows the sender to edit or delete a message before it's read by the recipient.

Hope this helps.

Oh! Well, I guess I just didn't know how it worked, then!

That's a pretty nice feature. Thanks for filling me in.
