Re: BladeShow 2020!
I’ll be there. At this point it is difficult to discuss the Corona Virus without discussing politics so I will just say that my concerns are low. Looking forward to it. Woo hoo!!! People are political this virus is an equal opportunity none partisan killer. It does not discriminate between race, ge...

Re: BladeShow 2020!
In lite of the conditions in the world today I think it poor form to have large public gatherings and honestly you could not get me on a plane to go to a place packed with people right now. It’s just knives, not worth anyone’s health or life, anyway that’s my perspective and it appears to be Spyderc...

Re: CPM SPY27 Experiments - Toughness, corrosion resistance, etc
Thanx Larrin, Exceptional, as usual. Hey Cobra, Not less expensive. More expensive and we have to make a bunch. By way of explanation; We wanted a USA made version of a Japanese steel that we use quite a bit of in Japan. ( VG-10 ). There was no American equivalent. But we wanted to powder it and tw...

Re: Earth brown/dlc or Blue/dlc bento para 2?
M390
I own S35VN only because it will not sell for what I have in it.
I sold my M390 because it was not much better than S35VN and was able to break even selling it.
I would take a Maxamet model over both of these steels or wait for S45VN that is soon to come out.

Re: Maximet PM2 at Blade H.Q. I bought one how about you?
Hey Bloke after experiencing this Maxamet steel I am with you I would buy a MIlitary in it. In fact I have a Spyderco Native in this steel in transit as I write this. Here are some pics, of the PM2 I let some water sit in the area where the lettering is and it caused corrosion and patina but was abl...

Re: Carbon Steel Temperance 2?
Hi Does Whatever, We believe that the reason for slower sales of the Temperance 2 was partially that is was a fixed blade, which we're not know for and partially for the high cost for a fixed blade. The handles were made in the US and shipped to Japan which again added to cost. Eric felt that we co...

Re: Dragonfly XL Proposal
Count me in n for an XL unlike some I have no issue with scaling an existing design in either direction. Look how great the Native Chief is. The Chief is not just a scaled up Native 5 though. It maintains the exact same ergonomics as the Native 5 and basically just extends the blade and handle. Bas...

Re: Carbon Steel Temperance 2?
Cast is supposed to be more toothy, as far as steel goes I had no idea anyone would consider 440C a hipster steel whatever that is supposed to mean. I have a custom Buck Folder in non cast 440C and that is a very nice steel it has allot in common with Cruwear with the way it sharpens and holds a tru...

Re: Carbon Steel Temperance 2?
Sorry to disappoint, but it's not likely at this time. In fact the Temperance 2's long term future is in question. sal Future in question? What future? Heck I thought Spyderco already discontinued the model. I have not been able to find one for a reasonable price on the primary market for over 2 ye...
