Little big knife for most situations - D-fly.
However, with gloves as a requirement I would go Delica.
Dodo would be great if you can snag one, although closed it's right around 4-3/8" … not sure that qualifies as small.

I snagged a grey sprint Jester off one of the forums a little while back, paid what I felt was a little too much, but I had wanted a Jester for a long time … so it was worth it to me.
But at some (price) point, it transcends "collector lust" and just becomes madness …

Mine arrived today as well … Color - I like it, a lot - best way I can describe it is "Indigo", a medium to deep blue with a purple cast … the first picture posted by farnorthdan is exactly how mine looks. Translucence - It's evasive … you can see slight differences in the depth of color, ...

I don't lust for a choiled Delica, but I do see the OP's point. My two main Spyderco EDCs (these days anyway) are a PM2 and a Sage 1. I own a single Delica (because it fills a certain niche and well … you HAVE to own at least ONE), but don't carry it much - it's my "in the truck" EDC kit k...

I like the color. Not so sure the translucent quality adds to it - from photos I've seen it makes the handle color look uneven like it's stained. +1 … exactly this. I really like the color, I even like the purplish "cast", but the slight transluscent aspect makes the color look uneven. At...
