if you mean me, no i didn't do anything to the spine. The edge i put on it decreases from about 13 to 12 degrees per side as you get closer to the tip, giving just a little more cutting power at the tip.

That Native 5 seems like the way to go. no disrespect to the classic delica.

Re: Native 4 black serrated... anymore left
soonerStateKnives.com might have a few native 4's left. they had some knives labeled as native 5's and a few labled native. might be worth checking out.

Re: Manbug Salt
I carry an h1 hawkbill LadyBug and a ZDP-189 Manbug on occasion (need to grab a superblue mb while theres still a few left). Id buy an H1 man bug. But I'm way more excited about the H1 hawkbill Dragonfly rumored to be in the works. Finally a small hawkbill with a pocket clip in H1.

Yojimbo in s110v please!
I've been silently hoping for a s110v yojimbo 2. I've wanted a yojimbo for a while but I've been holding out for another high end version with steel like ZDP or even an m4 or some other tool steel. Nothing wrong with s30, it's just kind of a downgrade from what i usually carry these days (first worl...

Re: Now's The Time: For A New Hawkbill II
As far as larger hawkbills go, i would love a g10 handled, supersteel, spyderedge, emerson opener hawkbill. (normal handle, not karambit style)

Re: hawkbill dragonfly
I'm kind of curious as to why everyone likes the smaller Hawkbills  ??? To me the Harpy and/or TASMAN is about as small as I would want a Hawkbill blade to be. Don't get me wrong because I have no issues with a Dragonfly sized Hawkbill or even a Ladybug sized unit either for that matter b...

Re: What steel stays hair whittling sharp the longest?
I too am obsessed with sharpness vivi. My sharpness scale starts at razor and goes up from there. I agree with surfingringo s110v gets sharp and stays sharp probably the longest out of all my knives, but it is hard to sharpen and it's the "working edge" that really shines with this steel, ...

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
After getting the payment error email on my order, I submitted another order and it went right through. Might end up getting 2 accidentally. ya when i reordered i figured worst case senario i get 2. Hopefully they will get my email and cancel the order with the wrong cc #, rather than trying again ...

So I go to confirm my order and enter my cred card info, then it says your order has been placed, and im like, hey i didn't enter a cred card number, and i don't remember saving any cards to my bhq account. So i check my account and I do have a card saved, the number listed isnt any cc# i recognize,...

Re: Benchmade convert - recomendations
for under $100, the delica ZDP 189 FRN handle, For $117 on amazon you could get the ZDP 189 stretch FRN handle or a zdp endura. These knives are made to be used, the steel is outstanding, and they are very affordable for super steel knives (not a whole lot of ZDP-189 under $100 in the world). Now i ...

Re: ready for 3rd Knife... guide me, plz :)
Now that you have a knife that can get really sharp, a great way to get it sharp and keep it sharp is a leather strop. You don't need an expensive one or a fancy one. You can nail a piece of old belt to a piece of wood, heck you can use the cardboard side of one of those big college rule note paper ...

Re: ready for 3rd Knife... guide me, plz :)
My two most used knives are my H1 Dfly and my HAP40 Dfly (ive also got one in ZDP-189 and Super Blue). The H1 i like because i can use it on foods and leave it dirty for a few days, only downside to h1 is it doesnt hold or take an edge like the other super steels. I dont think it would ruin my Hap40...

Re: Will the Emerson opener spoil me for normal knives?
Yes, the emerson wave will spoil you DougC-3. Especially if knives for self defense is something that interests you. My best friend got an emerson endura about 3 months ago, it's all he carries now. it works, and it's fast. I'm a fan of the reverse grip draw, to get a knife in reverse grip without a...

Re: hawkbill dragonfly
I also have never got into key chain knives for some of the same reasons. I'd like to see a Ladybug or similar sized knife with a very small but well tempered pocket clip. Actually I'd like to see a variety of them, up to the size of the Dragonfly (1.2 oz) or Bradley Air (1.3 oz), mainly for shirt ...

Re: Poll: Solid back-spacers vs. stand-offs
I prefer standoffs. Less weight, easier to clean out, and I don't carry change or other small things in the same pocket so I don't worry about things getting into the knife. I agree, standoffs are my preferred as well. Makes it less of lint trap. easier to rinse and dry. Although i really do enjoy ...
