Re: Is there a quintessential Spyderco?

Surprised by the answers.

PM2 is what I have always considered Spyderco's 'Flagship' model. At least since I've been collecting. Signature blade shape, signature lock, more variations, sprints, exclusives than anything else.

Re: Which steel for my next knife? (Lil' Native)

I remember getting a comment of wow, you do have a big knife collection. I didn't have the heart to tell them, that was only the handful of knives I had sitting out on my dresser :rofl

I figured they'd find the pelican cases eventually.....

Re: Spyderco and hrc

In my part of the knife community, every knife company should start any introduction to a knife of interest with the blade steel and its hrc. That is a world of pertinent information. This is the nine tenths of the required knowledge lying below the surface of what we can see. Everything that Spyde...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

Bingo! Anybody know what angle this bevel is ground at? Got this to go with it... We'll start on the shoulders of the bevel wit first sharpenings... 20240328_170543_copy_4000x2252.jpg I can check the edge bevel on mine later. I imagine 15-17dps like most Spyderco's. Galley V is 10dps, so you'll be ...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

It's a big boy. This definitely has utility potential as thin as it is, a few serrations. To be honest the plastic clip isn't for me, but I'm glad I got one ...er 2.

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

How much flex is there in these blades?
It kind of reminds me of an Emerson Persian
I wonder at it's potential against soft body armor. :')

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

The only short coming of linerless G-10 is the pivot area. G-10 at thickness is more than strong enough for the handle. But at the pivot things like the D shape hole can deform a little bit under pressure or wear. I've seen this taking apart my Chief's. Probably because the G-10 is at it's thinnest ...

Re: AI art knows Spyderco

Scarier still is that far too many of us are moths to a flame. The generation that grew up with blade runner and the terminator movies didn't even hesitate a little to make robots and A.I. :zany All the A.I. legislation we approve will not matter to other countries. I think it's one of the reasons ...
