The Karahawk is Sal's design. Spyderco licenses the Emerson Opening Feature from Emerson and always gives full credit for the innovations of others. The Karahawk is not a collaboration with Emerson, it is 100% Sal's design that makes use of the Emerson Opener. Stay safe, Mike Nice, that clears thin...

From all my research and experience with with carbon blades---patinas and etches seem hard to achieve on steel that has recently been treated with tuf glide; and that's even after a cleaning with hot soapy water. Though a wipe down with mineral spirits seems to thoroughly remove the tuf-glide. Rubb...

I would make an educated guess and say you were asked not to touch as it was regarded sacred not dangerous whereas some blow darts I had turned out to be coated in venom. Funny enough I blew some at friends they were only tiny but would stick in and sting but no one got sick there are still some pl...

I want one but I am reluctant to get it. On top of the 180$ I would have to spend, I would end up spending some more for a leather sheath. It is an ideal length and sheeple friendly so I feel it would work well in my daily life.

I'm in the same boat, been looking at them for a year or so and I always went with something else. I know I would enjoy this knife but then my Para yells, Hey!....you don't need that, that's what you got me for. I have the problem with a lot of knives too. Almost pulled the trigger a few times on t...

Trust me, its a great knife. My lil Matriarch (is the reverse S but still hawkish) goes through cardboard like butter. Don't underestimate the Bryds, I think Alfred Hitchcock made a move about them.

Yeh, I see your point but won't there be a danger of breaking your finger if while you're doing a spinning attack and your blade if struck hard or is trapped? Yup, but I learned in sparing, don't do fancy stuff if you don't need to. Fancier something is, the more complicated it is. The more complic...

I like the way it is now but.....I wouldnt mind a nice Carbon Fiber (like on the sage) with a Blue Ti standoff and lockbar overtravel. Carbon Fiber is actually surprisingly durable from my use. I think micarta is the best handle material in my opinion since it keeps grip even when wet, feels good, a...
