Re: EXTREMELY disappointed with Spyderco
Maybe you can put off upsetting yourself until they give you the “sorry sir, it’s luck of the draw” response. I doubt they will but that is just my opinion. :) In the mean time do some chores, go out with friends, exercise , whatever you want. You seem to want to make yourself more miserable as is. ...

Re: Gotta rethink my hunting/gutting knife…S110V FAIL!
All in all that S110v held up pretty well to what you asked it to do. I'd guess there was some lateral forces involved as well looking at the knife. I think a simple geometry change will solve that . Maybe a microbevel too. S110v is not a tough steel by any comparison but considering how high the ca...

Re: December 7th, A Day that will live in infamy
I hadn’t heard that about WW2. There appears to be a habit, though, of generals and politicians claiming in hindsight that their failures were in fact deliberate, and the incidental benefits were intended. Most promoted to general officer ranks in peace time are politicians . They use their uniform...

Re: December 7th, A Day that will live in infamy
One has to be careful of leftist revisionists and their "history". Take that mess of a book and its purposeful re-telling of American History A People's History of the United States with his liberal, Marxist leaning rhetoric. A lot of people get their information from such purposefully po...

Re: December 7th, A Day that will live in infamy
For what it's worth, I think the US killed the wrong guy. If they could have killed Tojo (which would have been much harder) there is some (small) chance that Yamamoto could have taken over the politics and ended the war. Perhaps that's true but IMO after Pearl Harbor and then the Japanese treatmen...

Re: December 7th, A Day that will live in infamy
There is some argument as to whether this was legally a military battle or a targeted political assassination. I agree that some try to argue that but they are usually left leaning academics. There was nothing wrong legally or morally then or now with the decision to target the enemies command stru...

I have a handy Dozier New York Special that would be perfect if it had a small guard to keep the fingers from running up the blade in adrenaline fueled emergencies. That would make it perfect carried small of back.

Re: Why Do Seki Models Have Lock Rock??!!
Again, the issue was "big" enough at some point for Spyderco to invent the stop pin. That 's what they do. They always try to make better knives with new and better steel. It's what brought many of us here. I don't want a stop pin in my knife. I would like them to make them for guys that ...

Re: Why Do Seki Models Have Lock Rock??!!
Yeah I thought that most of mine didn't have any lock rock either. It's there. You're just not pushing hard enough. If you don't feel it push harder Yep. That is my experience with them. I have examples from most manufacturers somewhere here in boxes but I always go back to Enduras. People already ...

Re: Why Do Seki Models Have Lock Rock??!!
A stop pin could put a stop — not only to the lock rock, but also to the complaints. A stop pin would make it a different lock therefore a different knife at a different price. I don't want that knife. I want them exactly as they are now. No newer or more expensive models for me. I have carried the...

Re: Why Do Seki Models Have Lock Rock??!!
All lockbacks will have some movement. It's part of the design. I have Seki lockbacks using the same geometry and design now over 30 years old and still going strong. The knives haven't changed IMO going by my latest Endura in M4. They are what they are. Buy them or not. I keep on buying new ones an...

A lot of that garbage is conspiracy theories to cater to certain groups programing them to make them feel better. :eye-roll Propaganda is a powerful tool. No Jim, not garbage or propaganda but news that is still available with a search engine. It does sound like conspiracy theory stuff on a late ni...

Re: Forward to the past: Fallout preps are a thing again
All Chem and bio weapons weren't designed to kill . Even the most lethal of the biologic s that were designed to be were not 100% fatal. Scientists looking at the genetics of COVID quite clearly stated it was artificially enhanced to make it more communicable. We know where it came from so it was ei...

Read voraciously. Don't be lied too. Read what everyone says. Best advice anyone can give. There are often more than two sides to a story. Most things published now are written to influence the reader. And they have links to the source so all the boxes are checked. You can find all kinds of papers ...

LC 200n Salt SE . I'm not a stainless guy but I recall being outdoors and wet for weeks at a time in the army. Weighed down like mules as well. I didn't have time for sharpening and probably would not have carried any sharpening equipment.

Re: Endura M4
I got mine this afternoon in the mail. I'm not thrilled about the color but it won't stop me from using and enjoying this version. I'm an Endura guy and I have liked M4 since I first tried it. It's not really bad at anything and it takes a nice edge pretty easily. I won't go out of my way to think u...
