I use Parktool PolyLube 1000 Lubricant (http://www.parktool.com/product/polylub ... tube-ppl-1) :) . It works better than mineral oil I used before.

Based on my own experience, even with diamond rods, it takes long time to re-bevel.

I use Comet and scotchbrite pad as recommended in DVD. However, after few strokes the rods get dirty again...

I am loyal to Spyderco because Spyderco knives' quality is high and are not all expensive. About this forum, it's the place I learn quietly from others :) .

Thank you for the chance.

No "at" your post, chuck. I was thinking why I don't follow standard procedure (corner, flat, corner, flat). Calm down, chuck :D .

PS. Meant to let you know I enjoy your pictures (nice angles).

One tip for you when taking GB apart... It's easier to put it back by putting 3 standoffs/pillars/spacers and 1 pivot pin on the liner with "D" cutouts first (instead of "O" cutouts). Oh, I noticed the gap between CF and liner sucks moisture really well and it will make liners ge...

Smelly CPM-M4?

Do you notice the CPM-M4 smells weird after water cleaning and wiping dry? My super clean CPM-M4 (without any protective chemical on it) only opens letters, that's it; so I am pretty sure the odor isn't from food transfer.

Friends, go wash your CPM-M4 and smell it please :o .

Don't forget that the lock bar also applies some lateral force to pivot & scales/washers when opening.

Patina Toxic?

I was wondering if patina formed on CPM-M4 (Gayle Bradly) is toxic. Would there be any ill effect on health (adult and especially new born)? Yeah, I do have H-1 for kitchen cutting. Just wondering.

Thanks for the help.
