I always wanted to try a Viele. G10 on one side and micarta on the other. An interesting design.

Tip up is my preference, but it's not a deal breaker. I also love my Millies! :D

I'll take my H1 Goddard in yellow, or an oceanic blue or green.

I've went through a few LBK's, and the one that has stayed with me is the Lava. For some this may not qualify as an LBK, but I like it. It has great ergonomics.

First, welcome to the Spyderco forums.

The edge of the blade does not come into contact with any internal part of the knife.
That is at least the case with all of my Spydercos. I believe it's the kick or ricasso that stops the blade before it makes contact. You should be good to go.
