Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

I like the second one, but no sway back. Not comfortable to use. And more width to the blade and handle.

Massdrop/Laconico Keen. What an amazing knife!

Except for the flipper in the way, I love the absolute clean lines and looks of that knife. The blade is perfect.

Re: Micro Serrations

I hesitate to buy a serrated knife due to sharpening considerations. If you have a Sharpmaker you're good to go. Do a couple searches, there are a couple recent threads talking all about sharpening them. SE is all I carry now. I'm in the same boat as Dave, here, except I like PE and SE. Once we rea...

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

Couple more ideas/doodlings. First has a Spy-DK handle with a tiny bit more blade. Second has a changed handle with a lanyard hole. I need that on small knives. Both have wire clips. Obviously, they’re removable.

Re: Dragonfly black hardware?

https://i.imgur.com/KU9Fafa.jpg I've had this bad boy since October/November, can't remember. Yeah it comes with black hardware (except clip). Absolutely love this model, would be lost without it. It came that way? Needs a black blade to go with it. Like the new Pacific Salt, I like the black hardw...

Re: Micro Serrations

As a guy who has really just basic sharpening skills and - knowledge I am a bit confused tbh: If there is a debate about if micro serrations actually do exist or not, then why not actually just TAKE a microscope and check?! Can´t imagine they are too small to be seen there? The lines scratched in t...

A black SE Dfly would really look cool. PE too.

Re: Sal—design for Roadie 2

I think the 2.75” blade is perfect. It could use the Spy-DK’s handle. The clip is awesome, and isn’t bulky, if you want to throw it in your pocket. I do like a lanyard hole right at the end, though. Might need to doodle some more.

I'm very eager to see the Rock Jumper too, but it's not because of the extra blade ratio, I'll tell you that right now. Don't fix what already works exceptionally.

Re: I ordered an SPY-DK. What can I expect?

I just used a carbide bit on the Dremel, sandpapers, and a Dremel brush bit to clean out the dark that the wet-dry sandpaper left.

I'd like to see your drawing. I did one, but should have incorporated Sal's choil design into it...

It’s a really nice size, no issues with f&f for me, but I missed the oho.

Hence my recent Byrd Tern purchase.

I forgot to mention the nice size of it. How do you like the Tern? Nice action and lockup?

Re: I ordered an SPY-DK. What can I expect?

It's a nice knife. Very pointy and slim. The only problem is it's a tad harder to open. Needs an easy opener spot carved into the handle, something like this... https://i.imgur.com/oGYV7t3.jpg I really wish Sal would have went through with the larger Roadie, or whatever two hand knife he has a proto...
