The reason he doesn't put his stuff up on Ebay is because although he's trying to make money, he actually hates the inflated prices that his stuff goes for on there. He tries to keep things as fair as possible, and tries to insure that as many people as possible get his items at a fair price. :)

That's actually a pretty good idea, jaislandboy. I think perhaps I will try to whip up a chainmail lanyard/knife fob to put on the Salt. Seeing as how it has that large lanyard hole, it's one of the few Spydies that would actually work for it. ;) I have to work tomorrow, but then I have Wednesday of...

I spent all of my money on the other new models that came out; before I realized that the Sage was out as well.

Does anybody happen to know the MSRP of the trainer? Is it going to cost as much as the regular Smallfly? Probably. All of the previous Trainer iterations have cost the same as the live version (which, frankly, has never made sense to me; seeing as how the blade is AUS-6, and, I had heard, not heat...

Looks good. I like the texturing left over from the file.

I know absolutely nothing about knifemaking, but I wouldn't expect a file to have that good of steel. How does the edge hold up?

After having read the opinions posted here, I've come to my own revised opinion that Sal and the Gang should use Market info to make their determinations. The varied opinions of the AFI's are too chaotic to be of much use, IMHO. In the end, Spyderco is in the business of making money; and although t...

PS. Anyone got a pic of the skull cricket? I know it's supposed to be horrendous. I have asked before and this is the response I got: It would be better to stab yourself in the eyes with a fork than open a link to the skull Cricket. It looked like a rat skull with the Cricket blade replacing the tw...

I, unfortunately, do not have any of these knives either; but based purely on my knowledge of the models, I would recommend the Assist. It has the most features (including that sweet glass-breaker), and really the only thing that it's not better at is the fact that the Atlantic is rust-proof; but th...

Well, I suppose it's about time for a contest...

Hey all, as you can see, I've reached 1000 posts, and I figured that it was only right to do a contest. :p Before we get to the main attraction, I just wanted to thank the forums at large for being such a supportive place to kick off my shoes and talk with some fellow knife knuts. :) I also wanted t...
