That is awesome! Keep up the good work! Agent Starling :D Thanks, I get lots of flack for it when people hear I'm the campus leader. It's all for a good cause though, so I don't really mind. :p You should have saw the responses when I wore body armor the week we had the empty holster protest....it ...

dantecubit - it's never exact, but I do believe most Delica serrations are < 30 (15 degrees-per-side) from the factory. I have had a few other serrated Spyderco models that were > 15 per side, but rarely and they were under 20 degrees-per-side. Sharpening at the 20 setting will create a stronger mi...

I too cut food every now and then and it would be much healthier to use a mineral oil. What kind do y'all use? Is it just any ol' bottle labeled "Mineral Oil" or should I look for anything in particular? The ones you can find at any drugstore. They sell it as a laxative. :p BTW try using ...

Super big "w00t". Hopefully things are turning around now that they see that banning guns everywhere did absolutely NO GOOD, since criminals don't obey the rules. Because we know that at all the major past shootings have been "Gun free zones." I'm sure criminals see the signs an...

I think that this is a great start. I only wish that more states would allow college students who are of age, and have the proper license to carry on campus. Being the campus leader of the SCCC for the University of Washington, I wouuld feel a bit better if I knew that my Proff could carry. I just w...

People have talked about using GITD nailpoilish to "paint" the spyder on the FRN handles. I tried it, but the polish my GF gave me didn't glow...so I just had a shiny :spyder: . When I get the chance, I'm going to try it again with new polish!

Thats great that you got such a positive response. I carried my Blue SE dodo a few times and when I had to use it, people gave me a second stare. I think the SE and blade design really freak some people out  .

I would suggest the Caly3 in g-10 PE as well. Overall it is a great knife. Lots of people say it is more of a gents knife, but there have been some recent threads that show the Caly3 can hang with the rest of the "beaters." If you like the shape of the d4, take a look at the G-10 d4. You b...

Brother: Bought him a Byrd Medowlark for work and he eventually bought a ZDP-Delica for himself. He still is a Microtech follower, but carries his Byrd for work. Friend: Got him into knives. Gave him a gerber, and eventually a BM minigrip. He saw that I started to buy more Spyderco than BM and start...

Seems like to me that your stropping might be rounding the edge. Try finishing off on the UF and not stropping. You said that you can shave above the skin, but wouldn't that require no pressure? Since you are above the skin and all? I can get my knives to whittle hair, but never shave above the skin...

I've slept with a etched cricket clipped to my shorts a few times. My main bedside knife is my DODO, which mainly sits on the nightstand. I'm with ViVi on this one. If I can not shave hair, it goes to the SM/strop for a quick touch up. So lets say, this could mean cutting up a medium size box. :p
