Maybe Sal will chime in and shed some light on the subject. :)Richierich252000 wrote:To give rumor to an answer above, I have heard it was made possibly in the late 80's but still awaiting solid confirmation on that. Still freaking out! :D

Re: 2016 Oregon Knife Show, April 9-10, Eugene OR
My family will be there. I'm at T10 and Martin will be at T11. Spyderco usually has a table and sells some seconds an other knives to club members Friday. They usually show prototypes Saturday. I'm in my 25th year at the show and there has always been something from Spyderco in my show envelope for...

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday with my son-in-law who is fairly new to knife collecting. I met Sal, Gail and Eric at the OKCA show back in 2007 i believe it was and am looking forward to meeting the forumites that will be there at this next one.

Re: USCG Orange Autonomy
I emailed BladeHQ today and they replied to say they did sell a batch of orange ones and were planning to sell another batch as soon as they can get some from Spyderco. No timeframe or other info given. My guess is the batch they're waiting on will definitely be the "SFGP" version. (Safe ...

Re: USCG Orange Autonomy
I'm not quite understanding these. Is there going to be a drop of the orange with the safety to the general public or are they still just coast guard issue. I sure wouldn't mind grabbing one to go with my black one. From the letter sent out from Blade HQ I would surmise that there is indeed going t...

Re: Maaaaaan...I was soo excited!
I've had that happen twice now with the last 2 catalogs I've received from the SFO. The package came slaughtered and missing some stickers i had them throw in. I think a tyvek type envelope would be a better idea for shipping catalogs and such.

Blade HQ had a few in stock but were gone the same day. Now it says they're discontinued.ez_rider wrote:I'm not sure why Spyderco doesn't make the orange available to dealers like they do the black ones, though.

Re: Any info on this wooden Spydie box?
Spyderco sold those boxes through the SFO a number of years ago for $10 and they came in a white cardboard box. A friend in Golden sent me one back in 2008 and I ended up taking the mountain scene overlay piece off and underneath was the WTC Twin Towers logo. They were left over boxes from the WTC p...

Re: USCG Orange Autonomy
Thanks! It looks so much better in person. It's really quite a stunning piece and it should be due to the 7 years it took to perfect it. That's a lot of hard work and dedication and I'm very grateful to own it!dtoad wrote:Great post, I must own a orange version soon. Killer pics here, thank for sharing.

Re: USCG Orange Autonomy
I've never owned an Embassy but I've had many Citadels. I hope to find an Embassy one of these days. They seldom seem to come up for sale. I'd love a Citadel too. I've never had the pleasure of owning either. The black on black with the contoured handle is really nice looking. I rarely see those ei...
