WOW you guys have a LOT of ideas, pretty cool, that'll make a real nice dry erase board listing on the wall at Spyderco Central to contemplate this year! I'm a little dismayed at the lack of any mention of the Resilience or Tenacious, I recently picked up the black suited Tenacious and it seems a li...

Thanks Sal, unfortunately I didn't take a measurement of the inside dimensions before I modified it, but roughly it's just over 30mm and the inside area tapers down toward the end of the sheath, again roughly measured as I did file the inside and layed the strip of leather along the bottom covering ...

Well last night I spent some time with a large file, using the edge of it like a saw to cut the bottom a little deeper to help make sure the knife doesn't clank into it, but, even with that you can bang around getting the knife in and out, so this morning I filed a little more and then glued in a st...

You're welcome and if you go to insert the knife, holding the sheath in hand, the way I have it photographed above, you can see there is some distance between the edege and the bottom of the sheath... Now, start to insert it the other way and you will see it places the edge at the very bottom of the...

Here are a few images of how I now place the knife into the sheath, note the orientation, when inserted the other way, it would cause the edge to cut into the bottom of the sheath, but this way, it doesn't cut into it and the knife is remaining sharp... I just took the info out of the box, the image...

Odd as it might seem, I just tried inserting the knife in the opposite way, meaning flip the sheath 180, and now the edge isn't striking the bottom of the sheath when it's being inserted and removed, might be something to that, so give that a try too... So the spine side of the knife is nearest to t...

Mine doesn't seem to be doing that, looking inside with a flashlight I can see a small spot being cut by the blade but I don't see any metal that might harm the edge, BUT when mine arrived it was also sweetly sharp, after a little bit of cardboard I felt most of the edge was rolled over, there was a...

Arrived today, nice nice nice knife, good one Sal, but, you already knew that The thickness of the edge bevel shoulder is pretty good, slicing up some cardboard, cut right in, no hang ups or snags, and it's a distal taper on the blade, so it's flat ground down to the edge and also narrows down to a ...

Just got one for Christmas, an amazing folder and I believe it's the newest version with lighten'd liners and the lock bar is pretty strong to push close, while I think that's a plus, less chance of accidental closing, I'd not pick it if you were planning on opening and closing it very very frequent...

thanks guys, had to slice through some crumpled paper padding our packing dept uses to pack parts to ship out, the longer blade made it a lot easier to be able to cut through that as it's not just a sheet of paper but more like a bundle of paper. Also got the little brother of this, the Tenacious an...

Spyderco Resilience, amazing value
As I've read others, that they love the Resilience, I only recently discovered it and WOW, blown away by how well it cuts and also the ergonomics of the handle suits me pretty well, others may have different opinions, I've had several of the Military folders but didn't cotton to the handle or blade,...

... I have just been informed this will be my Christmas present, so back into the box it goes. Well, that's not TOO bad, the waiting is always a killer though, I was hoping to hear how the edge thickness was and if you took it to any stones yet, but, that'll have to wait. I hope that mine will arri...
