Re: Sal- PM2 Bowie
I was surprised by how polarizing it seemed to be when we first saw it, but I think it will grow on people. I’m going to try to do a blade swap with a Cruwear Micarta PM2 because I think the micarta will look better with a Bowie blade. I think one of the aftermarket backspacers will add to the look...

Thanks for providing an amazon link to various countries. I'm in France and it makes it easier to buy.

Re: I think we’re reaching the limit
To me, the answer is obvious: not all sprint run are equals. Blade HQ sells their m4 Jade Pm2 lightning fast. The Slysz Bowie sprint run all sold in 2 hours or so, maybe even less than that. The Military Saint Nick sold out almost instantly. It depends on the knife and how appealing it is. A 15V PM2...

Re: A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
In my opinion, the diverse product line up is one of, if not Spydercos' biggest strength. I don't think segmenting it any further than Byrd/Spyderco makes much sense, and I don't see Spyderco entering the "eye appeal" marke t. Those fluted TI models be very eye catching though. The unique...

Re: A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
Very true.
As a counter exemple, Citroen separated their DS line from their mainline offer and it works. KTM created Husqvarna and it works well too.

A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
I feel most people identify Spyderco with FRN/G10 utility knives. It's also a fact that many wonderful titanium knives made by Spyderco were discontinued (the Nirvana, the Slysz Bowie etc) because of what we assume to be low-volume sales. I fear one day the same will happen with the amazing Techno 2...

If I'm not carrying the above, I'm likely doing some kind of outdoor activity or trying to do work I'm not qualified for, i.e. real work and not my regular office day job. https://everydaycarrot.net/onewebmedia/A598EDAD-63B4-4775-88C8-86C70E0AD2BE.jpeg The primary knife is still likely to be a Spyd...

Re: Gentleman’s Knife Recommendation
Those fluted titanium models are really the Deusenburgs of the Spyderco world. I wouldn't even put a Nirvana over them. I feel like a Para 2 version would break the economy. There needs to be a whole family of them, Para/Manix 2, Chief, Shaman... Omg....a fluted titanium Shaman...if they could mach...

Re: Gentleman’s Knife Recommendation
A G-10 Native 5. It’s smaller and not aggressive looking. But it has a 3” blade that can do a lot and enough handle to fill out most hands. Extremely nice knife. The Native 5 is in my top 5, but it's a fiercr looking knife for sure. It has aggressive lines imo, which I like a lot. A fancier Delica ...

Re: What to do about shiny clips?
Give the spyderco factory outlet a phone call... They make a black clip version that fits most of their knives. Unfortunately, they're coat painted. Which means scratch and such will remove the coating. Best option is to buy Lynch clip imho or color them with chloride like some good soul above sugg...

It's so solid that Spyderco started to remove the liners entirely on some models : Native 5 lightweight and Para 3 lightweight.

The Nirvana blade was a fantastic blade design.
Some years ago, I had the chance to own the Spyderco Nirvana. It spoiled me immensely. It wasn't the perfect knife by any means. I didn't care much about the one piece handle, it had some serious lock stick, the blade finish was unrefined and I felt uncomfortable carrying a 500$ knife on me (things ...

Re: Please Sal, bring back the Sage2 !
Yep, it's one of the great. I still have my theory that most people don't associate Spyderco with titanium scales, hence why their titanium knives seems to get delisted. Just an idea but maybe Spyderco should try to launch a separate third brand like they did for the Byrd lineup and make it focus on...

Might agree with the comment above. Backpackers I know are the most anti knives person I've ever met. An opinel would be the maximum they'd carry and it would mostly be to cut cheese... Really a shame because there are a lot of knives designed for them and many funny uses in the wild, like learning ...

Re: Why no lightweight PM2?
In my humble opinion, it all depends on the Para 3 lightweight sales results. Making a lightweight compression lock is a huge design challenge. The P3 lightweight is one of the best piece of engineering I've seen recently.
