Re: New crow/raven

Thanks for chiming in on this Sal. I'm really looking forward to taking a look at the new versions. Will these continue to use 8Cr13 or are they making the switch to BD1?

Re: Byrd Fixed Blade

We do have one maker that is using CTS-BD1. That would be my prefered steel. 9Cr is available, but our experience with the material in a Mule Team showed more warpage than we would like. We can always use 8Cr. Let's discuss more about what the design would be? sal BD1 would be perfect for me. I'd p...

Re: Byrd Fixed Blade

I personally would love to see a byrd rendition of the Bushcraft. If I had my way it would be available both with and without handle scales and would be in 9Cr18.

King of middle of the road?

Is that like being the "World's Tallest Dwarf?" :p

Probably more like tallest of the average height men.

You're the lone voice of reason here mate. Given the popularity of the Manix 2 lightweight, I think a FRN Paramilitary would be absolutely perfect.

Re: Swiss Army Knife Maximized Utility

For daily carry, the Explorer is the knife that gives me everything I need with nothing that I don't. At least, of the currently in production models. I actually tend to EDC a Yeoman more often than an Explorer, but the Yeoman is discontinued. The main difference between the two is that the Yeoman r...

Congratulations JD. I hit my 10 year mark last month as well. Obviously, I've been far less of a contributor than you over the intervening years, but I'm always here behind the scenes reading and watching.

Caly 3/3.5 with the handle texture of the FRN UKPK. I'd jump all over this.

As much as I enjoy new lock-back models(Native5,Chaparral) my Delicas and Enduras have a special place in my heart. In fact, my old saber grind Delica was a trustfull companion over the years.I quote Sal saying about the new lock-back "...on the Native5 lock-back, we're using closer tolerances,...

Re: Sal, please offer Sage1 stealth wire clips for larger kn

While I understand why some people want a deep carry clip that doesn't stand out, it's not something that is a necessity for me. I like the wire clip design for some aspects, but concealability is not one of them. But, I live in a place where seeing a knife clipped to a man's pocket is easily a dail...

I don't really buy back-ups, but I have a hard time carrying a knife I couldn't replace if necessary (so, I usually only carry current production knives).

It looks like the serrations are smaller on the left blade. The Spyder hole is centered more to the rear on the left blade too if I am looking correctly. Are the Spyder engravings the same? Hard to tell from the pic. You're right about the serrations and the hole placement. The hole position relati...

Endura Differences

A friend recently purchased a part serrated Endura from a reputable online retailer. The blade shape and grind are a bit different from mine so I thought I'd get some opinions here. Mine is on the left in this photo, his new one is on the right. The blade on his is narrower toward the tip. Also, the...

Just wondering, don't you have some type of consumer protection agency in the US? Where I come from people who sell fake goods can be reported and enforcement officers will visit and confiscate fake goods with a court order. Is it not some type of Federal fraud to knowingly send fake goods accross ...

I got burned on a fake black G10 UKPK some time ago. I couldn't in good conscience keep it and use it (even as a beater), but I also didn't want to return it to the seller to be sold again, so I packaged it up and mailed it to Spyderco so that they could dispose of it properly.

Does anyone know if there are different sizes of SAK toothpicks?
Yes, there are two different shapes/sizes. One for the 58mm, 74mm, and Swisscards, and one for 84mm, 91mm, and 111mm knives.
