Re: Native 5 LW Weirdness (or not?)
Thanks for the replies everyone. I really appreciate the help. Good to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue. Rather than trying to fix it, I opted to exchange for a new one with the seller. The new Native functions the way I'd expect.

Native 5 LW Weirdness (or not?)
I recently bought a Native 5 LW. I haven't had one of these since the original incarnation in S35VN steel which I sold years ago. On this new one, I'm experiencing something a bit weird. If the handle screw that goes in directly beneath the lockbar is in and screwed to normal tightness, the action b...

I've been really looking forward to the Caly 3.5 LW. Hopefully it gets here sooner rather than later!

Re: UKPK drop point vs leaf
I’d take a regular production SPY27/G-10 UKPK in any blade shape they wanted (except sheepsfoot).Ferruginous wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 10:59 amI wish they'd offer G10 versions of the UKPK, black G10 with S30V and dark blue G10 with Spy27. I wouldn't buy one with a drop point blade though.

Re: UKPK drop point vs leaf
I have both my FRN/BD1N and my Heinnie drop point UKPKs in my pocket today (and many days). I love the drop point. I wish they offered this this blade shape in a locking model. My proposed handle shape would be something along the line of the original Rescue Jr or Rescue 79mm with the UKPK style dro...

Thanks for the reply. I don't really need the pic. Would have liked to see the internals but am more interested in just knowing the answer.

Lil Native Slipit Spring
I'm curious if anyone has any pics of a disassembled Lil Native slipit. In particular, I'd like to know if the spring is the "split" style spring seen in the UKPK or the solid spring seen in the Urban and byrd Tern.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Delica conundrum
I'm probably the odd man out in this conversation. I actually prefer the saber ground Delica to the FFG. Currently in my pocket is the slate blue D4 in ZDP-189 (the original run before they went to the BRG).

Re: BladeHQ PM2 Aluminum-scale Exclusive
I like designs with aluminum when it means less liner so either less weight, thinner scales, or nice curves. For an exclusive I'm guessing they didn't mess changing the liners, and we already heard it's still flat scales. I'm out if it's just the slabs changed to aluminum, but almost definitely in ...

Re: Is the UKPK FRN discontinued?
Hi MagicDad, Welcome to our forum. The UKPK is still in production and is more popular than you'd think a slip-joint would be in the current world of locking folders. There's a leaf blade and drop point blade. There's a Salt version. An S110V version and more variations planned. sal This is great n...

I love the Slipits, so I’m all for more diversity in that line. I’d prefer to see the Urban stay 2.5 and get the Metropolitan too.

Re: Sage 5 Question
I have not seen (or heard) that the Sage 5 was CQI'd to use the bushing pivot like the LW. I also have one from the first run and it's actually pretty good but it took some adjusting to get it to how I like it. Not sure but I'd probably buy a CQI'd version too Same for me. Takes some adjusting ever...

Sage 5 Question
Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching for it and couldn't find anything. I have a Sage 5 CF/G-10 from when they first came out. I also bought a Sage 5 LW when it came out. The LW version has an improved "PM2 style" pivot screw for lack of a better way to say it. This makes...

Re: Small Police 4 lightweight
I'm not kidding at all, and I cannot stress this enough. Get a byrd Harrier 2 Lightweight! It feels so much like a smaller Police 4 Lightweight. Everything about it gives me that feel, and it also feels like a major upgrade from the FRN Cara Cara and Meadowlark. The FRN feels like an upgrade and the...

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I'd be all over this!
I'd love to see the Meadowlark and Cara Cara CQI'd to make the handles a little more like the Harrier 2 lightweight's. I know FRN molds are expensive, but I think it'd be worth it.

Why the byrd Harrier 2 Ltwt is a game changer
Last week, I received a byrd Harrier 2 lightweight in the mail. When I took the knife in hand, I was floored by the quality of it. I have other FRN byrds. I currently own a Cara Cara 2 and Meadowlark 2, and I've previously owned the first generation Robin, Meadowlark, and Cara Cara. The Harrier 2 le...

I once heard a YouTube reviewer (I can't remember which one) refer to the ESEE Zancudo folder as an improved Kershaw Leek. If I were a reviewer, the Astute would probably be my opportunity to make the same comment.

This is going to be a tough few months for me. If I pre-order all of the new ones I want out of this reveal, I'll go broke.
