Re: Bladeops Upcoming Elmax Exclusive
Anyone have a price on this yet? I'm interested in it only because my elmax isn't in my preferred work knife platform. Im pretty sure my lionspy is my only elmax and it plays a different role in my collection. Havent had a chance to work it hard and teat the steel out so a pm2 would be nice if the p...

Re: Street Bowie sheath dulls edge.
I think the design itself will hold its own in self defense no matter what edge it has in my opinion. If the steel type and blade design do not have anything to do with the properties of self defense, then I'd like to be the first to know what does. That is why I patiently wait for certain knife pr...

Re: Street Bowie sheath dulls edge.
With any fixed blade I draw and re-sheath the knife while applying light pressure towards the spine. This lets me avoid this issue completely. All well and good, except I bought this as a self-defense knife. The sheath dulling it because a draw isn't used with a certain technique isn't really accep...

Re: Street Bowie sheath dulls edge.
I did a quick look through the current fixed blade variety and I'm only showing the black blade streat beat and the street bowie using the redesigned polymer sheath. My streat beat in satin has a boltaron sheath. I noticed one thing they mentioned grommets instead of rivets. So they definitely updat...

Re: aqua salt black on black serrated
Haha yeah yeah! I remember seeing that post and thinking, wow! someone uses their knives just like I do. I think my ark definitely has a twin haha maybe I should try and look at it like you do. It is after all a tool and a work patina is something to show off. Just hate the sheath scratches on my w...

Re: aqua salt black on black serrated
If you are talking about coating from Spyderco, the coating on the salt knives are TiCN, not DLC. Kind of surprised by your review. The Seki City knives' TICN rubs off fast normally. Just the FRN handle of like a Pacific Salt will wear marks into it from opening and closing. Certainly agree uncoate...

Re: aqua salt black on black serrated
I had some rust transfer onto my aqua salt from the sheath. Its not the knife rusting, but as the rivets in the sheath rust, if you leave the knife in the sheath for a long time with those rusting rivets, you will get rust spots on the blade that are stuck on there pretty good. I took a scouring pa...

Re: aqua salt black on black serrated
as far as I'm aware, the black coated black handle version is the only one currently being produced. most sites I've checked have both edge configurations in stock. It's a great knife, can't go wrong with it. Bombproof, rust proof, very light and adaptable to a variety of uses. I appreciate the rep...

aqua salt black on black serrated
I am trying to refresh my want/need list for the year and this particular blade has been on the list for some time now.I'm seeing the market for the all black serrated version drying up and wanted to double check its availability. Was it discontinued? I know that some of the other aqua salt versions...

Re: Worker 40th anniversary
That would be awesome! The worker came out long before I was fortunate enough to get introduced to Spyderco. I would love to see a modern day spin on it, super steel at the very least would be amazing.

You can definitely tell how much this means to Spyderco. The box alone is something very special. I still can't ...
