Correct. I'm nobody and I like it. (PM2 and Para 3.) Then again I have several smooth scaled "traditional" knives so it never presented an issue for me.
Nice! Thank you for the comment.

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

:spyder: Nobody liked the KC exclusive, smooth black G10 PM2 Cruwear either. And I got one of the last ones and it was a steady carry until recently. I'm a rare one who prefers smooth. For me it's more about the weight and balance in this case. I haven't ever held a Shaman. I just had to check this ...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

With additional Rex-45 models on the way I almost passed. This one is more appealing to me than orange scaled version. I'm going to check out the "first teardown" video. Thanks SteveMidwest for bringing that to my attention.

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

Oh well that explains that. Thanks Sharp Guy. I think I'll hold off so someone will get a second chance. I think it's too soon since my latest purchase (Smock) but I still have a few days to decide. So far I think KC is one of the best and I really appreciate them going the extra mile. Note: KC's si...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

As of about 10 minutes ago I thought I had missed this one all together. I never got any receipt notification after making the online payment during the pre-order. So I already kissed it good bye.

Booting out my PM2 lately. Also got a Kapara and it's not getting so much pocket time since I got Smock.

Re: ZDP-189 vs M4 for rainy west coast living?

I hiked with a Cruwear PM2 in the rain. The next day there was a drop of corrosion. I wiped it off and good to go.
Maybe check out a Caribbean?

Actually the entire story of Alistair's knife from the original BBQ proto to the final product actually took years. Certainly worth the effort. It's a beautiful design. Thanx Alistair.

Re: Alistair Phillips Custom Kapara Backspacers

It seems like the designer has the inside track on the G-10 spacers and could have supplied them.
I mean would it be possible to make money off a $26 back spacer?
It's not a big deal though, but just makes me wonder.
It's a nice knife.

Why did they change the color in the first place?
Perhaps a lot of burgundy sheets of G10 kicking around? :)
Too bad because I like the designer's choice better.

Re: Smock owners

I am an owner as I bought a used Smock last Wednesday. It will come today with a deep carry clip. I recently procured a Kapara. I'm wondering if 1 or both will survive. I bought the Kapara for the blade and the Smock for deployment. Follow up: Have carried Smock for a day. Took apart cleaned. It's s...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

If you miss out just don’t sweat it and move your attention to the next shiny object. Many knives have come and gone over a three year period. Many weren't Spydercos, many were. The smooth black scaled KC Cruwear pm2 is my most carried. I have a pair of cruwear grey scales to swap when I want a cha...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

Yesterday I wasn't real happy not to score especially because I made it to checkout. It feels a little like a lottery and nobody likes loosing. Later in the afternoon I was given another chance to buy. And I went for it and it failed again! I called KnifeJoy and they said "it shouldn't have don...

The comments on their Instagram page from angry customers is pretty intense. I don’t understand why people react this way. I don’t think I ever will.
Well it is sort of the opposite of enjoying knives if you wanted one.

Got to checkout entered info. Did verification of buses, crosswalks, motorcycles, bridges and never got anywhere. Then said inventory is below what I ordered. Oh well.
