Does anyone have insight as to whether it is possible to get the Seki K390 FRN to dye to a royal blue? Seems like that is taking a darker blue lighter, and so probably not possible. Any thoughts?
Check Knives&Lint's post on page 15.

Re: Show your Bugs and Critters

Other than macro, during the fall/winter/spring seasons here in Minnesota, I like to chase owls and other raptors with my camera. Here's a few shots of owls from over the years. -Chad Great Grey Owl https://live.staticflickr.com/4708/25826646648_10fc0ab8c6_c.jpg Northern Hawk Owl https://live.static...

A few years ago it would of been a peel-ply CF Stretch 1 compression lock in M390 but now it would be a Waterway in CPM-Magnacut.

Re: Which fixed blade would you like to see in K390 first?

Waterway. Second choice would be the Enuf, and then the unreleased Enuf XL. Waterway Thanks for the vote guys. The Waterway would be high on my list to get the high hardness tool steel treatment. I feel like I’m a pretty objective observer but I know my bias on this one exists so I decided to keep ...

Re: I'm having an issue with US made Spydies

First issue I see is using boiling water. I know you are trying to melt the loctite a bit but you are actually expanding both the screw and what it is screwed into. You want to heat just the tube to expand it and not the screw. Another thing that helps is putting your torx bit in the screw, twist co...

I'm curious what you guys think of how it sharpens and how it holds an edge.

I have the Para3 LW SPY-27 and I'm very happy with it.
I like the steel a lot so far. It sharpens up like VG-10 but holds an edge closer to S30V. -Chad
