Only happens at completely inopportune times…
Like when renting a U-Haul and leaving my phone in the car (like an idiot). Card keeps getting declined, while bank keeps sending me text messages (that I’m not seeing) to make sure it’s actually me using it.

Brave man!
I’ve tried to replace exactly one G-Shock battery, out of about 8 total watches. Couldn’t get the gasket lined back up, and none of the local jewelers would touch it.

Re: Wanting Some Good Cargo Work Pants
Only 5.11 I’ve owned were some ripstop ones from Walmart when they first started carrying the brand. They were fine, and super cheap, but definitely had a bit too much of that tactical pants look for me… Other brands I’ve worn over the years include Mountain Hardwear, Kühl, and Columbia. All three o...

I have a few Lynch clips, as well as one MXG Gear I put on a ZT. MXG’s website shows several long ones, but I didn’t see any dimensions listed or comparison photos.
The fit and finish on mine seem on par with Lynch, fwiw.

Re: EDC Hygiene: Fixed Blade VS. Folder
I really don’t understand how people run into “food prep” tasks outside of a kitchen so often that EDC knives need to touch food. Do you people lack teeth? My closest example is at the Jimmy John’s I’ll frequent most often for lunch. If I’m lucky, they’ll cut my pickle in half. I’ll take it down to...

I always wanted a Defender 1, after Sgt. Barnes whipped one out.
And for some reason the Desperado always appealed to me.

I’ve had pretty good luck buying various items off of Etsy before.
A few makers I’ve purchased from on there have actually blown up to become fairly well known. PNW Bushcraft, for one.

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
Out of the multiple knives I own and carry (in my modest collection), across multiple brands, the Delica is the only model that I own multiple of.

One thing that jumps out at me in those comparison photos is the difference in blade to handle ratio between the 3.5 and Delica 4.
About an inch more blade squeezed into virtually the same handle.

FWIW I have a knivesplus reground to 2.9”, similar to the one spydergoat linked above. I don’t live in a place with restrictions, I just wanted a version with a slightly less pointy tip. (Even though I’ve never broken a knife tip in my life.) The grind on it is top notch. That sub $100 price point m...

Re: Is there a reference table for all the models?
Somebody needs to whip up one of those 3D size comparison videos that walks through the models from smallest to largest.
I’m not even into the whole MCU thing, but I still like to watch that comparison video. Fully Grown Groot is freaking giant!

Re: Chris Reeve Knives
I always get nervous when there's a bump to this thread. That looks great, but I refuse to click the link and see the price! I clicked it. Holy cow. When I bought my only CRK, a PJ 21, the whole time I kept telling myself “That’s a used Glock... That’s a used Glock…” This one is… holy cow. But also...

Re: Looking for an EDC/slimmer wallet
That looks sleek, Beau. I was 100% infatuated with Craft and Lore’s Port Wallet. Infatuated. They posted a video on how to saddle stitch using it as the example, so I found some decent leather and made my own. Complete rip-off. Then I found a good deal on a Ridge on eBay. After several months with t...
