Re: How about an American fixed blade?
I really hope its not a 3" fixed blade that is why I have a folder. Please something made for camp choirs /cooking and big game cleaning. Honestly a fixed version of the military maybe 5" would be great and fit a multitude of rolles.

Re: Loving the Para 3
I don't think anybody is putting an aftermarket deep carry clip on a Para 3 that believes the illusion that the knife will actually carry deeply with the modification. They are just trying to get it to ride at a more normal height rather than sticking out nearly a full inch. Exactly You guys that d...

Re: Loving the Para 3
I personally am not advocating deep carry. I would like about 1/2" deeper in my pocket as much for looks as for comfort. As for the Yojimbo 1 it's a lot thinner at that point than the para 3. 2 it's no where near as popular than the para line. It's also a lot more "tactical" and less ...

Re: Loving the Para 3
A good deal of people disagree.
It's one inch of 4" knife closed so it's 1/4 .

Re: How about an American fixed blade?
Rubber handles like the horse stall mat on my custom Gayle Bradley would be awesome. Love rubber handles.

Re: How about an American fixed blade?
I can only hope for a good stainless utility hunting knife. Big knives and choppers or fighting knives never get much use. They end up on ebay or in a safe. When I hunt I want something that can skin game like elk and deer and that can also do camp choirs. Big knives and axes get left behind when ba...

How about an American fixed blade?
How about an American made fixed blade? Something for hunting/ utility would be my preference. There just seems to be a shortage of American made fixed blades in Spyderco's catalog. 4.5" to 5"blade cts204p or cpms110v would be cool. Something like the temperance or large military.

Re: Loving the Para 3
So cobra 1/3 of the knife closed sticking out of your pocket is okay? I might as well wear a belt pouch. How about 1/3 of the military, or delica, nataive etc sticking out as much its absurd.

Re: Para 3 with s30v or s110v
Get the S110v and a DMT clamp on sharper. It will help you too learn to sharpen a knife and train your muscle memory. The diamond stones sharpen s110v easily. When you feel more proficient at sharpening buy a few Spyderco kitchen knives and practice free hand sharpening on them.

Re: Loving the Para 3
Yes I bought the knife and yes, you all have already sold a ton. But the lanyard hole/clip area just plain sucks. I honestly cant believe the knife was even released that way. I shouldn't have to go aftermarket to fix something so obvious. Just my 2 cents and yea, I'm still disappointed [/quote] Ex...

Re: Loving the Para 3
I really don't understand why people are so concerned with how much of the knife shows while in the pocket. I've purchased an MXG clip to go on mine but it was only so that the clip wouldn't reach all the way to the cutout for the comp lock as I find it gets in the way. Are you all worried someone ...

Re: Cru-Ware, Maxamet???
Its the wear resistance I cant get over. s35vn holds an edge longer and is just as easy to sharpen in my experience. I believe in the old 52100 thread where Sal asked what hardness to run it you said that you love 52100. It has far less wear resistance than Cruwear, along with less corrosion resist...

Re: Para 3 and CQI
Love the size compared to the 2, Don't know why the clip is a issue for people when you can move it to the other end and have no lanyard hole in the way. It's asking to change something that already has a solution. (Several as its 4 way carry) Don't get me started on lanyards on folders...............

Re: Para 3 and CQI
Love Love Love the para 3 it is my edc. But the lanyard tube location in relation to the clip for tip up carry is a really bad design in my opinion. 1" of the knife sits out of the pocket unless you go tip down or spend more on an aftermarket clip. But other wise it the perfect size knife in bo...

Re: Maxamet or S110V?
I love Maxamet but have run into a bit of a problem with it. Myself! I take it to work (Carpenter / General contractor) and my sweat pits and surface rusts it if I carry it. Pretty bad too also it gets in the pivot area. No matter the oil, silicone, frog lube etc that I use. Could be just my persona...
