After nearly 20 years of working with my Spydercos, I came to realize My Para 3 Lightweight fitted with M390 is my favorite by far. Yes, I swapped blades. :bug-white This knife combination gives me several features I like: 1.Light weight 2.Just enough traction 3.Well rounded edges. 4.Deep wire clip....

Watu is in my rotation.
I like the simple knife shape, the thin blade, and of course the 20CV is great.

ADD:
I checked out some of my existing compression locks. Some do flex at that spot, but it's not an issue. Funny, never thought of checking this area before. Ha!

How are the micarta scales holding up?
I ask, because in viewing a vid the guy showed concerns about the thinned out area at the locking tab. There is no "lip" for a good 2 or less on the scales.

Like, cutting cardboard, paper, wood/whittle. Nothing heavy duty, I don't do camping/hunting much anymore.

Got an Ikuchi recently, I love compression locks and I have 6 of them. This is a very clean looking knife. It's light and easy to carry, pull it out, flip the front opener. but.... Would the "trouble" in Taiwan be to blame for the lack of supply? It seems a while now for the Kapara and others to be out of supply.

I was just kicking the idea around to see if I could get a different perspective and or a pic.

What is there not to like about the Watu? Slim handle, thin blade, 20CV, light weight, it is a gem.
Then there is the little "bite" when closing the blade.

Got this little knife years ago, don't know when. It's not been used much. So it survived Laura and now I would like to know if it was regular run of knives. I see the newer ones are made with FRN and N690 and not in Japan.
