Re: Any new para 3 models offering soon

Mzen wrote:Quick question for those in the know: is the brown S35VN model a BladeHQ exclusive or will it be carried by multiple retailers?
No, I believe it's a distributor exclusive by Moteng like the s35vn PM2, therefore any dealer who wishes to buy them from Moteng will have them in stock

Re: Domino & Dice Owners; please read

Have both, never taken them apart or even touched the screws, no issues here. I think it helps to keep them clean and lubricate once in a while.

Re: Camp Axe Needed

I have a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe. It's a nice piece but the edge can be a bit chippy. You should check out the prices on Ray Mears' website, as a US citizen you wouldn't have to pay the sales tax. I wonder if purchasing from the UK would be cheaper than the US? You could order a Wolfspyder ...

Re: Para 3 and the infamous clip

There is an issue with the pocket clip on the Para 3 when carrying tip up. When wearing jeans the clip doesn't sit right against the pocket seam and sticks out at a funny angle. The hourglass clip is good for most knives that use it but doesn't work in this instance. It's probably too hard to change...

Re: Manix II spring tension

Thing to remember is that the Ball Bearing Lock is not an Axis Lock, it's always going to be stiff but maybe that's a good thing, it won't accidentally close on you. Both of my Manix's have loosened up over time to the point where I can just use my thumb to operate the lock.

Re: Shot Show surprises

I have to say this is the first year when I have been really underwhelmed. Looks like other knife companies have upped their game and Spyderco have stalled. Hope there will be some interesting sprints in the works.

Techno to be discontinued

Saw Eric Glesser mention in the knifecenter video that the Techno 2 will replace the Techno in the line up and that the Techno will be discontinued. Bit of an own goal if you ask me, now no one will buy a Techno until they are officially discontinued and the price is lowered. I just wonder why they ...

Re: Too early to be excited for SHOT Show?

In past years I always enjoyed the video's from Marshall at GoingGear but sadly he passed away recently. I hope others will post video's of the knives and discussion like he did.

Re: Loose Screws? Delica4 FFG

Make sure you have the right size torx bit, you can try a t6 or t7, just make sure it fits snuuggly in the screw then tighten. If you have some loctite then that will help and prevent them coming undone again.

Re: Hap40 Caly 3.5

I'd love to try one but I just seem to have really bad luck getting hold of these knives and coupled with the nightmare start to the New Year I've had it seems like it's going to be a long time until I can buy another Spyderco :( . Nightmare start? What's going on? Well during the Christmas period ...

It's ok, Spyderco have made a CQI change to the Para 3 recently and the s30v models all come with a fine stonewash finish.

I'm pretty sure the person at Spyderco you need to contact is Peter, hopefully the Deacon or someone else will chip in and give you his email address.

Good luck :)
