Re: Smaller knives.Just can't warm up to them.
I had that mind set not too long ago, as I have mentioned before for me the Endura is the perfect knife. But after getting a ladybug and using it as part of my EDC it opened a whole new world to me. I could not believe such a small knife could cut so many things and be comfortable on the hand, keep ...

Re: Tatanka vs Voyager lock strength test By Cold Steel
I guess CS felt Spyderco was stepping on their ground with a large blade offering. So they did a test to show how much stronger their lock was. I would say that if you want a high quality EDC folder with nice ergos, steel and design get a spyderco. But if you are looking for pocket swords that can t...

Re: CruWear vs D2
I got a queen cutlery folder in D2, manix and mili in cruwear, for some reason the D2 was a ***** to get it hair popping sharp compared to the cruwear. Both with a 40 micro even the psf27 mule was easier to get it sharp, why would that be? I mean aren't the 3 very similar?

Re: NEW Mora Knives: Thicker, Heavier.
I got the new pro handle 511, 546, robust, pro c and pro s all are great with very nice ergonomics. But I agree if you want more of a bushcraft survival knife the old mora handle is better, that new finger guard gets on the way when using the knife. The new version of the clipper is awesome also the...

Re: NEW Mora Knives: Thicker, Heavier.
They are in fact great knives, I got the Pro C and Pro S same lenght and spine thickness of the 511 but wider blade the ergos are great. Just waiting on the Robust, 511 and 546 with new handles to get to the dealer. Also Mora brought back the clipper and there is a claim it has a longer tang inside ...

Yes I agree get your sharpening stones or plates. I use the sharpmaker but to reprofile I use DMT plates once set I go to sharpmaker and finish with strop. Its a science but very fun to learn.

Re: How I would change the Roadie.
Same here I wish the kitchen line had the spyderco trademark that I like so much. Besides the great designs and steel I think that Spyderhole was one of the main reasons I was attracted to the Spyderco line.God'sMyJudge wrote:I'd be upset if it was not there. My santoku is amazing but the lack of hole freaks me out.

Re: Don't have your knives sharpened at the gun show
looks like a machine did that with a very shaky operator that did not know exactly what he was going for. Sharpening is always better by hand to check progress and test sharpness, that quick sharpening can ruin a blade fast.

Re: FFG vs Saber Grind
Call me weird but for me the sabre grind works great on the Endura, I really like the feel of it, the weight, the stronger blade. Now for slicing cardboard the FFG has a little less friction, but for a workhorse that will have a stronger tip the sabre grind is better. I do have some FFG Enduras the ...

Black Frn Endura4 sabre grind my favorite knife. When I first held it on my hand it was perfection. Since that day I became a spyderco user.

Re: Tenacious durability?
One of the best high quality beater knives you can get. The construction is solid, thick liner lock, very flat grind on the blade. Very easy to sharpen but wont hold an edge as good as vg10 or 154. But you can sharpen it often. I use mine for regular cutting tasks but really have not used them that ...

Re: A conversation with Gayle Bradley - PSF27
No my mule psf27 does not have a 30/40 like the other knives. It has a lower 30/35 or around there did free hand on my diamond plates. Went with lower angles not by much but lower. I might try to go lower to see what happens. Havent taken the time to do extensive testing on the knives I got. I just ...
