Re: Worker G10 Sprint
Just got one I'd been wanting since they were announced (I've spent SO much on other toys and gear). I haven't carried it (G10s are being put up!) but the Spyderhole is smaller than the Delica4s and Endura4s I EDC... Not a big deal but I didn't realize this when I ordered.

Re: Cutting the Cord: Life Without Television
Same as most of you. We cut the cord (INITIALLY to save money but soon realized we could do without it even when we were better off financially) years ago. Some people are shocked by this (which I'm sure many of you have found this also). A friend's daughter (18 yoa) found this out one evening and h...

I always value Surfingringos opinion on Salt knives but I'd like to also hear Sal's opinion on the pivot or washer issue here. The rust color is the ONLY thing detracting this from being an almost very good condition knife...!

Re: Unmarked Millie.
Call me a suspicious old SOB, but most of the "back stories" I've heard from sellers have turn out to be either heavily embellished or completely fabricated and this one is just not passing my smell test. Same here. My all time favorite was on some totally unmarked AR mags (read: JUNK). A...

So far how however the consensus leans toward "fake". Don't let the desire NOT to have been swindled affect your judgement.

Re: Best Pistol light for Glock 17
I have ran a TLR1 since 2009 on my duty gun (a Glock G22 RTF2) and I recently acquired (last year) a Surefire Ultra X300 that replaced it. The TLR1 NOW rides on my main off-duty gun (a SIG P320 Compact). I carry one of these (or the other) every day. I HIGHLY suggest the TLR1, which can be had for a...

Re: Info on the Caribbean?
That was a good interview and video. I am glad I seen this thread. I KNOW I'm in the MINORITY here but I personally don't care for the compression lock for my needs (I have actually went away from ALL locks-in all brands-that aren't back locks or lockbacks) so the Caribbean isn't shouting out to me ...

I REALLY try not to be a spelling Nazi or grammar nerd (mine isn't perfect either) but I often think about a signature line something like this (think of the penny containers at stores): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e...

Re: Carry 2 knives? 3 knives? More???
TWO minimum on duty (uniformed patrol LEO). I may sound like a hypocrite-I start getting "the weird outs" when I meet some folks that carry more than 3 or 4 on their person for general EDC. When I was SCUBA diving-I had 3 (leg, BC, gauge console) and when doing anything outdoor I usually h...

Re: Effectiveness of a knife breaking glass? Emergency preparedness?
Have never used a knife but have broke windows several times for felon removal and to gain entry...and in training. In a class last year we were "breaking and raking" with carbines. Even with M4s, it takes good technique and a lot of force. I failed to break one with three attempts using t...

You make a very lucid point here and call for an interesting debate.
No, it wouldn't work though.

Re: Warranty denial?? Shocked....great outcome!!
I've heard the CS is great-I've not yet needed it! 16 Spyderco knives ($48-$200) in the last 3 years and not one had a single issue. Compare that with another popular maker who I bought 3 from ($125 to $165) and two had issues-one went back and one I gifted to a buddy under full disclosure. MY exper...
