Re: Spyderco Tomahawk (SzaboHawk)... Beautiful
I haven't gotten my catalog yet, but this sounds amazing. I probably will keep one in my hiking bag and one at home with my tacticool kits just to be more tacticool. Because operator operating operationally.

Re: Your first purchase of 2015?
I just ordered an Endura4 Emerson opener a half hour ago. I almost ended up with the matriarch, but the Endura won. I really like the Rubicon, but its out of my price range. So i'll just window shop it.

Re: Fiskars/Gerber Lawsuit Settlement: Check this one out
Remember Shiny footprints people... Anyway, the last Gerber I bought was a Bear Grylls Scout folder. I used the **** out of it and it is still kicking. In fact, I keep it in my car as an emergency holdout knife nowadays. But I bought it when they first launched the BG line, so its been years since I...

Re: Title change:Not impressed with Spyderco Delica 4
Sounds to me like its a user induced error by way of lack of basic care. Regardless, the Delica is excellent, as time has proven.

It's not ideal, but you could survive on it. You would be lacking a great deal of nutrition.

Re: Why is emotional healing so hard?
Well, I don't know the answer, but I do know it varies from person to person. I have noticed that I tend to bottle things up and try and forget about them, avoiding their ability to impact my life negatively, and usually I can get over them relatively quickly. My brother, on the other hand is pretty...

Re: Gun safety, why do you carry, etc.
I carry because I intend to defend myself and/or others from two legged predators, and sometimes four legged ones if need be. I also like guns. I carry one on duty, off duty, at home, on the john, or wherever I am, or whatever I am doing. I have a gun with me, should the situation occur when it is n...

Re: Gun safety, why do you carry, etc.
I find the treatment of firearm carriers/owners to be ridiculous. We are almost constantly talked down to by those who disagree, while the opposite is rarely true. "Oh, you don't carry a gun? That's cool. " "Oh, you carry a gun? Why? That makes me uncomfortable. Are you afraid of som...

Re: Karambits: Your opinions?
My Dear Friends, I carry a karambit every single day. Yes, there are some things it won't do as well as a straight blade, in the same way that there are things a straight blade will not do as well as a curved blade or hawkbill. They are no more complicated to resharpen than a traditional hawkbill. ...

Re: Karambits: Your opinions?
Kerambits are exotic "flavor of the month" items. IMHO. As for scaring someone by pulling a kerambit out...in real life it's like pulling a gun...you'd better be using it when you present it or as often or not it will escalate the situation or end up being stuffed up your fourth point of ...

Re: Karambits: Your opinions?
I feel like this has been discussed before... but regardless, I swear by them for defensive use, not so much for utility use. They take a fair amount of training before they really shine, but in the right hands, these are extremely volatile if you let said hands get close. They are catching on in th...

Re: Gun Question
I have looked them over, but my overall lack of enthusiasm for the AR platform has kept me from building one. The AR I have is going into a trade involving a Ruger GP100 and some cash. That being said, It would be fun to build a rifle, as I have had fun building shotguns and 1911 pistols. I say if y...
